I think Cap 1 was way more riskier than Iron Man
It will easily pass 400 million. That's the low end of what it will make.
If this movie doesn't make a lot of money I'll officially lose faith in humanity.
First Cap 370, Thor 450, Hulk 250
I'm not sure about "easily pass" 400.
no
it'll be fun though
Yup.
Rocket Raccoon is becoming an A-tier superhero.
Guys, remember when Nathan Fillion said to look in the credits for him...what if he meant a credits scene?

those nova corps guards look kinda decent actually, the helms look good. Gimme Nova marvel![]()
Knowhere intrigues me
Who or what can kill a "space god"?
Now I'll be disappointed if this cameo doesn't happen.Imagine if there's just a random bar scene and he's in the background in full Mal Reynolds gear. FIREFLY CONFIRMED FOR MCU
I literally know nothing about GotG apart from what has been shown in trailers, and I'm super hyped. This looks super fun!
in the Marvel Universe? many things
I'm excited to see Lee Pace chew scenery.
I'm not worried about the finances or attention of Marvel Studios, I want more people to enjoy the great characters that are the GotG.Yeah because a company really struggling to get the attention and success they deserve is Marvel Studios..
Less famous brand or not, most people in the world know Marvel characters from movies and not comic books anyway.
At least this looks a little more inspired than the dull chaos and lowest common denominator one liners of The Avengers. Whatever it takes to derail that train I'm ok with.

Marvel's brand is much stronger post-Avengers than it was before.
Funny thing is they haven't elaborated on the severed head yet in the books. I think I read that Abnett and Lanning already had it worked out, but since they're not working together anymore I don't think we'll ever find out.
Nobody really knew about Thor or Iron Man or Cap either, well at least internationally.
So was Thor, for that matter. There was a fair amount of dissent within Marvel (and later Disney) about whether to introduce Cap and Thor in Avengers, or whether Cap should only partially be set in WWII.
