I'm guessing this will be the least family friendly marvel movie so far?
So, so excited for this.

Lol, spotted Gordon Shumway in the trailer.
So, so excited for this.

Starting to get worried. The CG is a little weak in this scene.

There's no such thing as a locked-and-stocked seriousness when you throw everything into the kitchen sink.Looks fun, very Marvelish but new at the same time, I was hoping it would be a tad more serious than it looks but who knows, they can save the serious stuff for the next few films.
I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooo excited. My most anticipated movie of the year
Here's a great article on the shooting of GOTG:

That's pretty cool.“Joss said, ‘I wish there was more James Gunn in this script,’
for real? What time?

Yeah, they have big ol' practical sets in the UK I believe. The inside of Knowhere should be mostly/all practical, while the establishing exterior shots are CG.Liked it a lot.
The take on Knowhere is interesting as this version seems more organic than the one in the comics. Fantastic visual though.
Wasn't there supposed to be a lot of practical effects and props being used for this along with the CG?
Who are you again?

Its been pretty much strictly the people with knowledge of the comics that have convinced me to pay this any attention, had it not been for that I would have long been ignoring this movie by now. It has been presented awfully. I mean, I didn't care about Iron Man or Spiderman either, but the marketing for those films at least made me wonder.
If Iron Man had failed, there would be no Marvel Studios and possibly no Marvel. They had a character that barely anyone knew about, they had never made a movie before, and they needed to borrow a bunch of money to get it off the ground. Thor was risky but they had already put out two huge movies by then and were established.
Someone who hasn't read the comics. So if there are references in these trailers, they are being handled badly for everyone who has no previous investment in these characters. I think the trailers have been very uninteresting and that it will hurt the movie. I have been wrong before though. But so far I am extremely unconvinced.

Ah, good. I always like when practical effects are used when they can be rather than having everything in CG.
I liked how the "From Somewhere" line is right after we get that shot of Knowhere.
That's how you do a trailer.
Genuinely entertaining and cool in itself - but giving almost nothing away. I basically know nothing about the comics of GotG - and I have no idea what the story is or where it is going. But I know that I really want to see this film.
Not sure exactly how it will work out - but the trailers are very impressive.
Somewhat surprised Ronan is not getting more screen time. He looks like a real baws in the trailer.

That's what I got out of the first trailer ...Marvel meets Firefly, I cry with happiness.
