Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 7: How Can My Smash Brother Be This Cut

What are your E3 Plans everyone? Anyone going to try to go to best buy?

I'll watch the other conferences at their designated times. I will go to Best Buy at some point, but before that, the Digital Event:

  1. Wake up at 10am CST
  2. Invite my friends over to play Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World, and some other games.
  3. Order some Pizza.
  4. Watch the Digital Event with my friends, recording our live reactions.
  5. Watch the Treehouse with my friends, recording our live reactions.
  6. Go on a Zelda bonanza, collecting pictures, videos, the works.
  7. Look at live details of the roundtables.
  8. Read people's thoughts and impressions across the internet.

I found out before that my boss had to change some of my vacation days this summer, so I can actually follow E3 on GAF in real time.

At least, we have smashgaf irc up; in case if GAF went down.

I just realized that Yoshi was replaced by Pit in the reveal trailer, making Pit part of the new original 8.

Yeah, I think they made a right decision. :P

Wasn't Bowser's model also totally redone? He's not slouching anymore either.

Yep, and he got new moves and new animations for old moves as well.

I really have no idea what to expect from smash at e3. By then I will have already invested so much time into mario kart 8 and hopefully will be to distracted. That way I wont die of anxiety driven smash info needs x.x

My list is pretty straightforward

Wake up
go to E3
take quick walk around showfloor
stay at Nintendo booth and play Smash till they kick me out
get kicked out
repeat till E3 ends.

You bastard! :) That's awesome!

Please try villager and describe the ACTUAL mechanics to his down B. (What happens when you use it again away from the tree. Does he swing his axe, does he plant a new tree? etc).

Let us know how the game feels, how the air dodge feels, compare it to melee/brawl. If i think of any more questions, i'll try to send them your way! I want answers!

Korean DJ broke down every single part of the smash direct. Very informative

Yeah, not Andre, but the other guy that's on all his videos that's a supposed "Smash expert" is misinformed a lot of the time. They both seem cool enough, but if you frequent any kind of Smash forum, you'll hear them speculating about things that have already been confirmed.

I don't think they've ever said any of them are Smash experts.

Maybe they never actually used the word "expert" to describe him, but Andre does seem to have introduced Derrick as the resident Smash player. I hope I didn't come off as pretentious, because you can totally be a big fan of Smash and not know every little detail about it. I just meant that, if you get your Smash news through a thread like this, there's not too much new info you'll get through their videos.

They do produce a crazy amount of content, though, and I watch a lot of their trailer analysis. I even wrote a few reviews on their site a while back.

Pretty sure you're thinking of Pokemon, where Andre did call him a "Pokemon Master." I don't they've ever said they're Smash pros.
You may be right. I'll try and find the video I was thinking of, but it's very possible I'm mixing series up. Either way, I agree with what Georly was saying. They're really good at helping you catch something you may have missed in a trailer, but I generally find their analysis of finer gameplay mechanics lacking.

I will absolutely do that. That night I'll hop on and give all of you the details. Depending on the roster in the demo and how long the lines are I may need both days to try all the characters. Oh, I'm currently playing Project M so it'll be in comparison to that.

I wish Nintendo still owned rare.

Not because of banjo , I hate him. Not because Conker, although his game and remake wereok. Not because of james bond or johanna dark. So i can killer kuts songs in smash bros.

  1. Get a 1/8th inch to RCA adapter for your PC/MP3 player
  2. Get two RCA Y adapters.
  3. Turn off music in Smash.
  4. Hook white ends of both the console and PC/MP3 cables together using a Y adapter. Do same for red ends.
  5. Hook into sound system.
  6. Play Killer Cuts tracks on PC/MP3 player.
  7. Enjoy.

<3 Gourgeist :p
I think Gourgeist could always use Shadow Sneak like shunx mentioned awhile ago. Better yet it could grab ahold of a player and start howling/singing. Now that would be hilarious.

Pokedex entries taken from Serebii.

X: Singing in eerie voices, they wander town streets on the night of the new moon. Anyone who hears their song is cursed.
Y: It enwraps its prey in its hairlike arms. It sings joyfully as it observes the suffering of its prey.

Someone will get around to it.

They always do.

Nah, man, things are a lot more secure now then they were with the Wii. You aren't going to get all the shit you did with Brawl, at least not during the game's lifetime.

Speaking of which: Anyone find it a little odd that we haven't heard anything about a new version of the Stage Builder yet?

We will see.

i don't give a rats ass about that version of smash to be honest.

That's great that you don't care or whatever, but that doesn't matter at all. I meant that people have been having trouble hacking Nintendo's most recent hardware, so there's no guarantee that they'll ever get around to the WiiU anytime soon.
