Amplitude (Harmonix) PS3/PS4 - KS (Funded, final day)

That seems crazy, Double Fine Adventure was at 38, Wasteland 2 was at 48 and even Project Eternity was only at 54.

In my experience, people who love Amplitude REALLY love Amplitude. I've already pledged $100 and I may double that today.

True, but if you look at the comments section for the Kickstarter, there are a lot of people who just pledged higher to try and stimulate others to jump in or who can't really afford what they are pledging. I suspect the numbers will collapse a little in the next day or two when people start to face the prospect of actually having to pay off on those high pledges.

Very true. I've been posting on reddit about the game a lot the last couple of days. I'm currently at $70 and considering bumping that up to $100.

Glad to see the jump! Any idea how much the Vita stretch goal would be? If there was any chance of hitting it, I'd throw in.

No goal set. And if it does it, it will barely cross past the line, so I think Vita is out of scope unless the home versions sell well enough to fund it after the fact.

I've decided that I want to play Anamanaguchi - Meow in this game. Lighting up the "voice" track would feel awesome.

upping my pledge from below ave to above.

I backed it even though I don't know how much I'll play it. I just want them to succeed. I guess it'll be a fun game for when I finally get my PS4. I think not being multiplat is really hurting them, but there's not much they can do.

think about it guys. if every backer just ups their pledge by 50 bucks, they will pass the goal

...cough

edit: actually, only 36 bucks

I ignored it at first because I thought it was PS4 only. Then I learned to read, and after reflecting on how much I loved the old Frequency & Amplitude I am now IN. Let's see some last-minute magic!

Pledged 20. I didn't in the beginning because I wanted to get reviews of this game first. Saw it was failing and most likely not going to get funded, so didn't bother. Now that they have 250k to go, I decided to help out. I rarely do these things, but they are so close.

Losing those 12 days really fucking hurt them methinks.

Can't justify upping my pledge past the $20/get the game level but nice to see some positive momentum. The average per person is crazy, they need to find some new backers fast.

I'm honestly not sure if having a shorter campaign would have really made a lot of difference, as funding on most projects slows down a lot during the middle. It just would have meant more days of low activity.

However, the fire that has been lit under this is encouraging and I hope it makes it. It must have cleared about 100k in the last 24 hours? If this pace keeps up we should make it, but it will be close.

Yeah, I would donate up to 200 if I see that's going to actually help. That's like what 3-4 new games, and I've played, and more importantly enjoyed, Amplitude and Frequency far more than just 3-4 games combined.

The 24-hour livestream could be big, if they start doing cool stuff with it.

I don't like the economics of kickstarter but I ended up supporting this as well.
First time ever. I just hope they make it.

Yup, I nearly sentupled my initial pledge to an almost irresponsible amount, but fuck it... I NEED this game. Especially if I'm going to be part of the prestigious SONG SENATE!!!

Haven't played amplitude or really Rock band very much for that matter. But Harmonix just seems like a bunch of awesome people, really loved their PAX Royal Rumble. I don't think I can afford to up my pledge from 20 but its exciting to see pledges starting to pick up. Too bad they couldn't ha e done the full 30 days

Kick starters typically accelerate the last couple days. Definitely possible now.

This kickstarter was always going to succeed. There is always a huge bump in the last few days of a kickstarter. By going 18 days instead of 30 Harmonix just trimmed the fat in the middle. You get a huge bump in the beginning and in the end and then you celebrate. It's really as simple as that. This is Harmonix, the team that brought you Rock Band, one of the greatest franchises of all time that ever will be. It's not hard to believe that people would support them. We also have Jonathan Drake out there talking crazy to hype people up.

The dollars are going up but the number of backers is barely moving. That suggests that everybody who's willing to back has backed, and what's happening now is existing backers raising their pledges.

If they get 500 more backers per day for the next three days, the average pledge will have to be $82 for them to fund. It's possible, but backers will have to dig REALLY deep.

Has there ever been a kickstarter which ended up collecting more money in the last few days than in the first few?

Yes? It's not that uncommon. Sometimes KS's don't really get mass penetration until the last few days (and some sad ones don't even get that)
