Explain how you rush a project that has already 8 years developing?
He's talking about pre-production and shooting.

Welp, if this is true then I'm out. I was hoping his action choreography/editing/transitions/comedy would be finally appreciated in the mainstream. Chance of making the best superhero movie ever.Well I was only interested in this film because of him, so I guess I'll just wait and see what he does next. Sucks though, Edgar has a flare like no other that suits comics perfectly
Superheroes shouldn't have existed in the first place.
Wright finally recognized he was too good for them. He actually said this.

Well, at least he's honest about it now

Haha, THR quoted your tweet, Bobby

The Marvel hate is at its most over the top in full force in here. Holy shit. I'm surprised someone hasn't said "superheroes shouldn't have existed in the first place". I probably just missed the post. Wright never thought he was too good for them. People would literally say he said that word for word if they could get away with it.
When ?
Secret Fawful did a few posts above mine.
This movie was already being rushed to begin with and now they go and change directors at the last minute ensuring an even tighter schedule. This has disaster written all over it and I really wanted a good Antman movie![]()

So now in five years Bobby will be writing an Ant-Man spin-off.

Please tell me how eight years counts as "rushed"? This fucking thing predates the universe it was supposed to be a part of.
Marvel already allowed Wright to delay production of Ant-Man so he could make The World's End first.

Shooting starts in July which is already cutting it close for it's planned release date. An all new director at the last minute won't help matters.
Which is why this is baffling.

Makes sense. James Gunn has had nothing but nice things to say about Marvel. He explicitly has mentioned that there have been a few times when he and Feige had big differences on what should happen but they were always civil and willing to work it out. And Shane Black was allowed to make a movie where he completely changed what the Mandarin was and it barely featured Stark in the suit.
Until more info comes out I am inclined to believe it was Wright who dropped the ball, which is a shame because his movies are pretty good. :'(
It really is the end, huh? I wonder if they even bother releasing Avengers 2 at this point.
yeah. i wish i could be a fly on the wall during this decision....or an ant man
It's strange, because some directors say they had great working experiences with Marvel and others seemed to hate it like poison. Whedon, the Russos, Black, Johnston, and Gunn all liked Marvel; Leterrier and Taylor did not; and Favreau went both ways. :lol
Jump on this mistake WB. Get him for the flash.
after all this hype quicksilver is getting from xmen. speed is the new shit.
edgar wright for the flash. somebody tweet him this.
@BobbyRobertsPDX said:"We welcome Brett Ratner into the Marvel family! We're certain he will lend his special touch to Edgar's work." #DarkestTimeline
This topic is so bizarre. The amount of blame being doled out when we literally have no information is crazy.
Probably not. I heard from someone close to the production that James Gunn is livid, and he's considering taking his name off Guardians of the Galaxy unless they replace Thanos with a talking purple dildo. Seems like it's over for Marvel Studios.
Isn't the script his too? Wonder f they will still use it? Bummer.
Oh god damn it.
Edit: at least we'll get an original Wright idea sooner?
