The Order: 1886 Delayed Into 2015. [Stop talking about MS lineup]

I'm fine with this as long as the game is polished well enough. No surprise, some people would use this as ammo for the whole ''PS4 has no games'' myth.

But eh, It's not like I bought PS4 for the first-party games only anyway. Third party games like Destiny or Arkham Knight should be good enough for me.

Early 2015 actually means October 2015 ;(

At least they'll have plenty of time to make it even better, still eagerly anticipating this game, just love the characters, time period and the atmosphere.

Edit: please deliver at this E3 Sony, I need something more to look forward...TLG end of 2014 would be a megaton.

whats with the " good, more time for polish" responses. Do not announce these games so dam early then and give it a release year. When they gave the press a vertical slice to view, there were technical issues noted and that was in a controlled environment.

It is going to either release in spring around infamous ss time or it;s going the drive club route.

If means a more polished game then by all means go for it RAD. Let's hope the game is actually fun or interesting under that polish. Really hoping to see the other elements of the game at E3

Arkham Knight is next.

Is there any other indication it's actually being delayed as well besides the "Coming Soon" at the end of the trailer. Did any "insiders" say anything?

So much salt over a delay of a game.

I wish I was around when MS quit making exclusives 3 years into the 360s life. Must have been some good meme's come out of that.

Lol. Two games have been delayed, and both will result in better product. That's good management.

Listen, in many cases delays are for improving games, it's true. It's also true that many others are for marketing / sales reason, but they're not the only one. No doubt about that. But...are we seeing the same first party PS4 list for 2014? I see only 4 titles. Which will probably become 5 after E3, but still. And one of them was supposed to come out at launch, and now it's launching almost one year later. 4-5 titles for 12 months. Do you call this "good management"?

Could they still surprise us with TLG releasing this Fall?
Or is that out of the question?

That game's been brewing for a long time. I kind of believe they could do it...

I can understand and respect this response as well. In the end it happened and it means a better game.

I'm not being naive at all. Sunset Overdrive, Old halo games, and maybe Forza. That's not going to light the world on fire.

Even if Sony released nothing this fall, they'll still have superior versions of every third party game.

In all fairness, neither would Driveclub, an unknown entity with all too familiar mechanics and pretty graphics, and whatever else is in store that isn't Uncharted.

I guess the only thing expected to set the world on fire would be Halo and Uncharted then.

Bummer.

Coming from the last generation where success was measured by first party exclusives (especially for the PS3) this comment is astonishing.

The 360 was always touted as having superior third party ports. It was the systems best advantage.

Sony will still have the best first party support over the life of the system, and now they'll have the best third party support over the life on the system. It's a comprehensive victory.

I can't believe that The Order was their only Fall 2014 game? I mean, if DriveClub would have released at launch as planned, then right now they'd have had nothing at all. Must be some surprises at E3 surely, otherwise the first party line-ups on both machines this Fall are a joke. DC on PS4 and SO on XB1... and that's it! And the vast majority of third party games are up-ports and cross-gen releases, so that isn't going to entice the remaining 150+ million last-gen owners to upgrade.

Jeez lol

Its a better time to put out a brand new IP like The Order anyway.

Fall is when the big guns come out like Call of Duty 15, Halo 9.

Man, Sony needs to have a good E3 this year.

Driveclub was meant to be at launch, now The Order delayed. Nothing really worthwhile coming out soon. MGSV:TPP, FFXV and KH3 are all lacking dates.

From what's currently announced Infamous is the only 'next gen' game I want from this entire year, and people complained about the Wii U, yikes.

Bummer... Thins out the release lineup for this fall. The Order was one of the two new IPs I was really looking forward to (Sunset Overdrive being the other)

As someone who bought a PS4 for Driveclub and Order 1886, it sucks pretty damn hard since the only thing i've been playing on this is FFXIV after i finished Infamous

No way that the game will be bad but...ugh

And what does the 360 matter in this thread?

So Sony has nothing for 2014? Figures. They actually start selling well and then revert back to arrogant Sony when things are going their way. Their E3 is probably going to be shite as well. Be smart, grab a Xbone and a Wii U. At least those will have games.

How does this make them arrogant?

Like, how did your brain even begin to process this information in that way?

Great news. It's a bummer Sonys exclusives this holiday are a bust but that explains their doubling down on Destiny. Hopefully the next time they try and show off the game they don't do it on a highly compressed stream.
