Static time of day? Sure, who cares. I am not standing there for 3 hours to see if sun moves.
Linear? yeah, good old type of game not wasting my time.
30fps in letterbox? I can see that as complaint but at least they embraced it with filmic effects. It's a style of the game.
Yes, static time of day and linearity works for a game that is linear. Obviously.
But, I would like to see a sequel that would be more open, more focused on immersion, had actual dynamic ToD, and in that one baking all the lighting wouldn't work anymore, and that is where RTGI would come in, providing similar visual fidelity while being dynamic.
