Watch Playstation's E3 conference in movie theaters

*starts playing epic music*

THE HYPE HAS OFFICIALLY BEGAN!

The Order: 1886 should look pretty good up there on the movie theater screen, what with its cinematic feel. Actually, I'd totally go to something like this, but I don't live anywhere near any of those theaters.

I'm pretty confident the stream at the theaters is going to be shit. It's not like high speed internet is a necessity for a film house and they ain't gonna get some fiber pulled just for E3.

I don't know if this is the case for all of them, but the one in South Philly shows live events all the time. Opera, plays, boxing, etc

i cannot think of a more hellish experience than sitting in what is essentially the worst section of the actual E3 theater seating plan to watch a bunch of trailers and sales numbers on a giant screen

Was about to get two tickets for the Toronto Yonge & Dundas showing, then I imagined the audience that would go to such a thing and closed the browser window.

The power of free.

Watching a press conference late at night with a bunch of other people in a theater doesn't really sound appealing, but I signed up for the ATL one just in case the gifts are cool. :P

Most likely free gift is a keychain or lanyard. If you are lucky maybe a T-shirt. Companies never give out anything good at these movie theater showings. I've done these for previewing TV pilots in the past.

Booked my seat. It's a good excuse to head to SFO, which is an hour away. Would be interesting to run into someone from Gaf :)

Theres gotta be some pretty big anouncements if they are doing this. Or atleast some real cinematic trailers being shown.

It's probably in such a limited number of theaters for that reason. They must be equipped for live satellite transmissions for other live shows they do.

Well, Sony has to keep up their streak of demonstrating their games in the worst possible ways, right?

You know how GAF behaves during E3 conferences?

Lots of "MOAR GAMES, LESS SHIT" kinda stuff?

Now, imagine that where you have to actually hear all the comments, followed by tons of shushes.

Sounds like a blast!
