Well yeah, but she was revealed through video I guess is what I meant. We didn't wake up one morning to see her on the website. I guess you could say "were revealed in a direct".

What will they do if the winner doesn't respond in time? The rules don't say anything about what they'd do if that happens. Will they give it to the runner-up? Or will they just scrap the whole thing?

I'd imagine that Nintendo could ask Intagram for the winner's e-mail personally.
I was going to say that you could upload the picture to miiverse or hit the home button, then use imgur or something, but then I remembered that you usually can't hit the home button during online play

Same here. I would like to see them extended that introduction that were shown in first trailer.
Ugh, it was okay but not best. I wouldn't be surprised since they could use those newcomer trailers.

I think for Brawl they spent their CG budget on SSE cutscenes (which were pretty cool, admittedly). We might have the same problem here where there won't be a super amazing intro because they've been doing newcomer CG trailers along the way.
That's still one of my favorite commercials ever. I remember after the first time I saw that I had to play that game.

Yeah, SSE cutscenes are pretty amazing if you are watching them in one seat. Yeah, you just bought up a good point about budget/times on newcomer CG trailers. We'll see what would happens later in the future.
I should probably rewatch all the Smash Bros Brawl cutscenes. I barely remember anything about any of them.
I wonder if the announce video for Smash will be the Opening, or if that's too tied to Villager. Or if they'll do what they did for the Direct and cut a bunch together...

I'm betting they will have this part as part of the beginning of the opening. It was tailor made for the music, matches the opening beat completely.
They would most likely have every starting character as a part of the opening and there are lots of characters that have not appeared in any CG cutscene. They could use gameplay footage in its place, but I kind of doubt that.

. Took me a while to 100% it, actually had to look up a guide because I couldn't find the last % in the Great Maze lol.
It wasn't as bad as I remembered it but it was still boring to play. Enemies are still a pain when they spawn a whole group on you. Some boss battles were fun, that Rayquaza battle
Since we're talking cutscenes, I liked the ones in Brawl, they were fun to watch, especially the one with them invading subspace and attacking the giant cannon.

That's interesting news. I bet that Next LEVEL Game is the company that made Little Mac's announcement trailer since they seem to be aware of it and tweeted the Direct as well.
