why of course the good one. So each time I enter a fog door and raise my shottie at the boss I say "THIS. IS MY. BOOMSTICK"

Well, in this case, it'd more likely be closer to Bayonetta 2, where the game wouldn't even exist if it were not for Sony. Therefore, the incentive is that they're paying for the game to exist.

I can definitely understand the correlation between this and Bayonetta 2, however wouldn't From have enough money to go about their own way? I know Souls wouldn't be where it is today without Sony's initial help, however it just seems...strange I guess. I dunno, I'd like to wait and hear more on it all, but as I've said I can't wait to just have a next-gen Souls, be it on PS4 or elsewhere.

I'm still so up in arms though of whether to keep my PS4 or sell it and get another later down the track when we get those tasty games. Guess I'll keep it until E3 as we never know, things might announced in-between now and September.

It's true, nothing is confirmed... But you know it's a PS4 Action RPG out next year, right?

Until I see all the receipt, I'll keep my expectation low.
Who knows what MS will do, they are desperate and have huge war chest, I couldn't take it if they take this game away from me.

From can do both. Get this one out for Sony, where Sony foots the bill and also work on Dark Souls 3. Win Win.

I've always been on the outside looking in with the souls series. It always looked like a real meat and potatoes game-ass game, and now I don't have a 360 anymore so I can't play DS1or2. Beast looks pretty damn awesome, especially the weird nightmare before Christmas aesthetic. And that step back, mercy.

If this WAS Sony's big "oh and one more thing" moment at E3, are they now scrambling to squeeze something else in?
TLG wishful thinking

probably debt of gratitude. even in business, people practice it. there was that square enix interview last week saying it was only proper for square to help sony (sony sold their stocks if squenix) the sane way sony helped square 10+ years ago when sony invested in square stocks.

Maybe this is beneficial to both parties. Sony gains a new exclusive, and From benefits from their funding and tools, along with more manpower and expertise to help them develop the game as they see fit. Will sell less than going multiplat, for sure, but there's much less risk involved for them. And then, they can use the tools and techniques they learned to take advantage of current gen hardware on their own, in a multiplat game like Dark Souls III.

I think these things are natural whenever a new gen comes. Developers need help understanding the new systems and working closely with Sony/Nintendo/MS can help them overcome the initial hurdle.

Looks so cool in motion. I hope I can get into this one. Demon's was too obtuse for me without a guide and as soon as I thought I was getting the hang of it I lost my save file and never went back.

We don't really know yet. It's likely either a sequel to Demon's Souls, or a spiritual successor to those games. Either way, it's a game by the same developer with likely the same general feel and mechanics. Those games are some of the best ever made in my opinion, so another game like it by From makes me super excited.

thanks for heads up

So enlighten my ignorant ass - this is pretty much "Dark Souls 3" from the same studio/developers but exclusively for the PS4? Looks pretty sweet though I dunno if I would jizz myself over it :P

PS4- gets Castlevania Souls
Wii U- gets Bayonetta 2
Xbox One- gets Project Nagano

Who said Mature Japanese HD Development is dead?
