Very early WIP fun from some of the devs behind the project! Itll take a minute to get finished but a full PC port based upon the GameCube Twilight Princess decompilation is coming. Imagine a widescreen, 60fps or better, 1080p to 4K The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. That's gonna be fun!

Hey, you're back! Nice!

Oops, must have confused you with someone else then.

Now this is something interesting to keep an eye on. This is the best Zelda of all time, the most mature, the most interesting.

A "PC remaster" version it's going to shine like gold.

Six months is great, but one or two years feels way too far off. I hope they manage to pull it off much sooner. I also wish they'd find a solution to the dullness and dark look in the graphics. I have endless respect for these people who work on this for free and still manage to do a better job than Nintendo. I'm truly grateful to them.

I know there are plans for graphical changes (that will be a choice. Not forced)

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Decompilation is NOW 100% decompiled and that's amazing! and that's after the Animal Crossing Decompilation hit 100% Hopefully it becomes a PC port like Ship to Harkinian or 2 Ship for the Ocarina of Time PC port and the Majora's Mask PC Port! Twilight Princess decomp fun incoming! Now with way more updates! This is why retro gaming is making a comeback

Now with a VERY early preview of a potential Twilight Princess PC port.

For the informative posts. This is like a Dream come True. I also did it so OP Thread gets a visual boost.
Thank you so much for the gift 🙏

I'm curious but was there any attempt to run decomp games (say N64 era) on cheap portables like the R36S?
Check out portmaster. Its a program but also you can just download the port of the game from the website, but need to supply the original game files. Its a bit hit or miss, but for example GTA 3 and Vice City run perfectly on an RG40XX

Does a decompilation create the ability to create romhacks of a game?
Ship Of Harkinian is the main PC port of Ocarina of Time and is probably the gold standard of what can be added to a decomp. Extra modes, randomisers, cheats, expanded display and audio settings, QOL enhancements, expanded controls, and just about everything is customisable down to the individual colouring of each HUD button.

Have TP in my top 5 Zelda games, most feel it's the serious spiritual successor to ocarina of time, obviously the twilight elements and controversial wolf link didn't win everyone over but I really appreciate a normal hyrule compared to BOTW/TOTK's ruins.

All I want for the PC port besides 4k 60fps, is having some of the Quality of life features from WiiU, like a one-touch transformation to Wolf Link without talking to Midna, and having the HD texture pack over the changed visuals in the WiiU version.

TP has become one of my GOAT Nintendo titles. I was too caught up in it not being exactly how I imagined it would be when it first released. As time has gone by, the dungeon design and unique atmosphere of it have become more impressive to me.
It's one of those games where I play once a year and this time I can play in such a great resolution in ultra wide... I'm smiling and shaking my head rn. This time it's going to be the crispiest it's ever been.

Wait, what? Is it 100% playable? Is the code expected to look like the OG code or is it some AI re-built thing? I'm interested on studying it

Look at this.
I posted on the other thred about the decompilation but I had no idea work on the port itself was already so far ahead.

This is going great. He said it will run at 60 fps once the project is finished; he only sped up the game to show the content faster.

This game has many flaws I can let slide but in the end I just hated wolf Link too much. The only thing I like about it is the impressive walking animation with the chain dangling. I would do all the other busy work to play the dungeons, but they lay it on too thick with stuff like those Tears of Light sections. The atmosphere in twilight is fantastic, but that's when the game sucks. It's okay when you're normal Link, when the gfx are bad.

Skyward Sword broke me in a similar way with the timed collectathon sections. I failed one of them like 3/4 through the game and just never played it ever again, I was out of patience with the game.

Henriko Magnifico updated his TP HD texture pack three months ago. Been working on it for four years.
Perfect for this project. The guy made a bunch of texture packs, probably best known for his Mario Sunshine 4k pack.

(an older show case).

I actually can't complain about this.

While TP had some incredibly good dungeons, and I wouldnt consider it a deal breaker for 1 playthrough at all, the wolf stuff was pretty lame and kinda kills any thought about replaying it.

But that one playthrough was awesome.
