Bravo! Classic gif.
Thats the most hilarious gif I've ever seen in my whole life hahahhahah
Do the Souls games have a formal engine? I thought that beyond Havok physics, the engine they use is entirely in-house.
I just remember them stating that they made a new engine from scratch for Dark Souls 2.
People are probably going to hate leaks if this 20 second trailer is all that's shown at the conference.
That tearing better be fucking fixed. It better. I know it's early and all but fix that shit for retail.
Sick. Are people expecting this to be shown at Sonys conference?
They created a new engine for DS2 that is futureproof & usable for for "next-gen" games, not just PS360.That reminds me a lot Carmack-style development... that... doesn't seem practical. Maybe it's feasible but Carmack's engine took years to develop and he was sitting on money at the time and could afford to do something like that. I'm not sure From Software has that level of resources (and frankly, if we assume SCEJ is assisting in developing, I've never seen an engine from them that has been anywhere near what we're looking at here...).
Really pissed off this leaked now before E3. Would have been a really, really cool megaton.
Reveals like this is what makes E3 so memorable. Now we have it 2 weeks before. SMH.
The chaos that would ensue if it released this fall.

Demon's Souls and Dark Souls used a Sony engine. It think it's called something beginning with "P"
Would be amazing but I doubt it.

Sony did? Or From Software did? They created a new engine for DS2 that is futureproof & usable for for "next-gen" games, not just PS360.
Thanks for this.As I recall, both Demon's and Dark used Sony's own PhyreEngine, which has been used across lots of titles including Journey and Gravity Rush.
Yes, the game was self-published. That said, while the game does have guns in it, the visual style of Shadow Tower Abyss was more akin to King's Field. Though given that all of From's games since the PS360 era have used a similar engine, it's not impossible. The Shadow Tower sequel theories (with Souls mechanics) instead of Demon's Souls 2 are not that bad either. Who owns the Shadow Tower IP? From Software?
And now to hand out FREE COPIES of Beast Souls to members of the studio audience, office janitor and lunch getter, Fumito Ueda!
shesh that many views in just one day lol

Lol, imagine if appears in MS conference and MS owns the IP. It would be so epic xDDSick. Are people expecting this to be shown at Sonys conference?
Apparently it's not a whip, more like a switchblade-esque scythe.HOLY FUCK!
