Ok now I'm running into people where I get the waiting for other player and then they blow me up with some bullshit while I can't block.

what the fuck.

I did notice that buttonmashing can cause this to occur. Do any of you get this more when you see Honda/Blanka/Chun? Trying to figure out the cause of this- it does seem to remind me of the issues KOF12 netcode had, but nowhere near as bad- and it does work great when it works.

Yeah, what is with that. When it says "waiting for other players" I lose all control of my character while the other guy gets to kick my ass. In GFWL, when there is lag, massive lag, it still accepts your input but delayed so you can hold down-back for the duration. Now, the lag switch is REAL!

Not posting the list of eligible players to be fair, I guess :P. I'm voting for Danhiru, Akimo, and Yossan. I wish they could all go though! I really hope more things like this happen!
 
Well, went online in ranked with AE on Steam

Got my ass handed to me twice, lost two close ones, won a couple. Not bad.

Only had one match that lagged out, but retried, and the connection seemed solid.

I guess I need to just accept I'm a Ryu guy. Haven't played him in forever (usually play Ken, Makoto & Sakura) but said "fuck it" and played the regular guy. Did better than I have in awhile. Not GREAT. But better.
 
Are people still going to cry about Cammy in ultra even though most reg divekicks are (even more) unsafe, unblockables are removed and her hard buttons might as well be mediums?

Sadly I've seen some commentators actually call her lk crossup an unblockable.

I mean, you can make fj.LK unblockable in AE 2012. Not saying people don't whine too much, but that is a thing.
 
Kirblar, it's not like Cammy was all over the place in 2012. kbrad in america, that Canadian one, fuck all in japan (aqcua and Y) and mainly alioune in europe. Nothing like Vanilla Sagat or AE Yun when it came to tier whoring. Even in Super Cammy was hardly represented much, was like Sako and Alioune only.

*remembers that days of Aulord being a low tier hero Cammy in Vanilla and everyone being hype for poor Cammy even though she was probably Top 7 in vanilla anyway)

Hopefully Acqua gets in an hits a 7 one frame link combo while people cry in chat.

nah it was just a normal crossup lk off like a spiral arrow. Not one of those backthrow double jab crossup jump hard punch character specific unblockable or something like that.
 
Goddamn playing the GFWL version of AE after playing AE steamworks all day, is like playing too different games when it comes to online. So much more smoother.
 
Got my Razer Atrox in the post today, it's sitting next to me now.

Interesting stick, definitely designed to try and improve on the TE formula. It coming with a free battop is interesting too. Only problem is that its default configuration isn't the same as the TE so I'll have to swap wires over internally, but OTOH it looks like select plink mods will be super easy. About the same weight as the TE which is the downer, I would have preferred a lighter stick for travelling.
