Yes technically everything they announced at the core of IOS8 already existed on android. Swipe to delete emails, replying to messages from notifications, text prediction, continuity ( pushbullet), health apps, widgets, 3rd party keyboards

Yeah. They showed that you can browse iCloud on OS X but I haven't seen an iOS app yet.

Apple wasn't kidding about this sdk being so big. The extensions fundamentally fixes a lot of small annoyances and limitations with the os.

Integrating home kit with Siri is smart.

Basically, Apple is saying that they are opening up iOS features to devs. This is absolutely enormous. I do worry about how it will keep malware away, though.
