I don't know what the perception is here but I've been following this announcement and saying "yup, they are adding this feature that Win 8 has that iOS doesn't... and now they are adding this feature that Android has that iOS doesn't..." pretty much for all of the major features they've announced.

Also some of that Mac OS X stuff is VERY Vista esque (sidebar widgets, transparencies everywhere).
