Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 8: Put mii in, coach

Never noticed this before, but Snake actually appears early in the Smash Bros Brawl announce trailer.

Well to be honest, the box does not look like a clear indication of Snake. Could be speculated that time as a new item. Just so happened that Snake's reveal uses the same Smash cardboard box lol
 
Speaking of NFC, I just had another idea for how NFC could be used.

What if NFC figures were used akin to summons in final fantasy? What if you had an nfc figure for waluigi, and every time someone put waluigi on the gamepad it summoned him in as an assist trophy? What if there was some special stage where a player using the gamepad could manually toggle stage hazards (i'm sure this idea has been brought up) but then also use NFC figures to summon items and assist trophies? It could be alright. I think this might be suited for something more gimmicky, like a paper mario game, but who knows.

If they're on a special stage using the gamepad, I would hope they wouldn't force us to pay for each individual assist trophy we want to use on top of that. The idea is fine, but not for NFC.

Aren't the NFC figures going to mostly be major Nintnedo characters though (so that they can be used for multiple games)? I feel like most of the figures will already be playable, and if you assign like a Waluigi spawn to a Kirby figurine, what's the point of having it in the first place?

Well in my idea, you could force a random item/assist trophy to drop, but if you want a specific one, you'd need the NFC figure. Eh, just an idea for a bonus feature that wouldn't deprive people of actual gameplay.

Who knows what assist trophies there will be, but I assume that there will be some that ARENT playable, like waluigi or knuckle joe or something.

Where's that footage from? And was the speed of the footage increased? Because that looks a LOT faster than Brawl. Not as fast as Melee, but way faster than Brawl.

It's been said and confirmed through frame comparisons several times now that the game is between the speeds of Brawl and Melee, coming closer to Melee between the two.

That's strange, how can this be judged through video and I've justly read that it was closer to Brawl. This is almost EVERYWHERE I saw it discussed including here.

Man it feels like time has flown by and I can't believe it's only a week Til out smash info megaton! Unfortunately, I have a feeling this week will drag on and feel like an eternity as my hype continues to increase

Whoaaaa there Hoggywoggy. I'm about 90% sure that he was just joking. Geno is a running joke from the pre-Brawl days (same as Ridlay), only he's mostly forgotten about.

Doesn't make the non Ridley Gif jokes good though ;)

If you're going to disagree with someone's opinion on a character, please provide evidence and opinion for why you believe they won't be in if you have something to say about it. Do not attack the character of a person for wanting it in.

The best solution is to not say anything at all, but if you do have something to say, be tasteful :)
