Well dead in the center of downtown Toronto was the middle of everything location, and I heard horror stories about that Best Buy.
I was at the location near Mississauga. Obviously not actually "middle of nowhere", but I had to make an educated decision based on how long the drive would be, and how packed it would probably be.
This year I'll be making a longer drive in an attempt to find an even more remote Best Buy location

Well the only thing I can bet on is that Ridley will be revealed as a playable character. I think he will, but I am too pessimist to actually believe it will happen (does that even make sense?).
But first of all, what will we have to use as avatar if we lose the bet? And for how long?
We'll see next week. I totally get what you're saying, but I also think that most people who showed up last year will show up this year *AND* we'll get an additional bump from people who would only put up with a line for a game like smash bros or Zelda (like myself). I could be wrong,

Pokémon hype is similar to Smash hype in my experience
Not denying that levels of hype may be bigger for other games, but smash bros tends to have the most discussions simply because of the number of unknowns.
With pokemon, you KNOW you don't know the new pokemon, so there's no point guessing 'who the next pokemon will be.' You KNOW all of the old pokemon are returning, so you don't have to speculate on who will be cut. You KNOW whether or not it's a remake, so you don't have to speculate on which areas are returning. It's different, but not necessarily less hype.
Clarification: There is no TYPE of HYPE like smash bros.
Also, a smash bros demo is a bit different than a pokemon demo, no? If I told you you could only play a smash bros demo OR a pokemon omega ruby demo, which would most people pick (assuming they're fans of both)?

I already made few bets for Ridley so I think it's enough for Ridley bets. To be safe, ALWAYS ASK FOR 1 or 2 WEEKS; unlike someone with Pinkie Pie. He had to stuck with it for 2 months so far and wouldn't get rid of it until 3DS is released.

Yeah, I really love that 'mode' idea. Would be great for a 5 year old or something who isn't good at smash but would still love a laugh. It could be great for a party, actually. Give them cooldowns and stuff, but yeah.
I hope it's more than "same as 3ds bottom screen" as well.

Any last minute (well, there's still time) E3 predictions regarding Smash Bros.? Here are mine:
Pac-Man
At some point in the Digital Event, Pac-Man's trailer will be shown. I believe he will be the only newcomer revealed during the Digital Event.
Mii
Towards the beginning of the Smash Bros. panel -- perhaps even before Sakurai is brought out -- the Mii trailer will play on a large screen for the audience (like WFT last year). Sakurai will then explain how Miis work; I have a hunch they will be customizable to some extent.
Shulk
Since the Digital Event will most likely feature an X gameplay trailer with the game's final title and release date, it makes sense to reveal Shulk at E3. This will either happen at the end of Sakurai's discussion or during the invitational.
Other news will include the game's box art, final release date, 3DS/Wii U connectivity, custom moveset details, a few stages/items/ATs/etc., and perhaps a veteran or two.

Metaknight is probably pretty likely, & Wario too. Perhaps the Ice climbers as well.
Do you not think either Palutena or Chrom will get trailers at e3?
As popular as F.E. is in N.A. now, seems like a good move.
I'm hoping for a Ness reveal, along with Moonside as one of the stages. I could also see palutena being revealed, but I think that pac man, mii, and shulk are all more likely
That's a good point. I wonder if the 3DS one will even be playable. I honestly don't know. The Wii U one will certainly demo better (easier to see, more people can play on 1 system/screen). Maybe behind doors? Interesting.
I doubt the 3DS version will even be playable at E3 tbh.

I think Ridley and Pac-Man will surely be among the newcomers announced in 7 days. Otherwise, I have my doubts they are even in the games. I'd love if Shulk was announced too.
So, my predictions are:
If 3 newcomers are announced: Pac-Man, Ridley, Palutena. If more than 3 newcomers are announced: Pac-Man, Ridley, Palutena and Shulk/Pac-Man.

This is heartbreaking.
I expect at least three newcomers revealed during E3, like we got last year. I'm very confident that both Mii and Pac-Man will be revealed, plus at least one more newcomer. If I had to choose, I'd probably say Chrom. Ike's recent reveal leads me to believe that they may have wanted to get him out of the way before announcing Chrom.
It can very easily not be playable! If it's there though, I imagine its presence will be smaller than Wii U. I also see it likely that it only has single-player options (vs bots, or smash run).
Has any DS/3DS had multiplayer demoed in the past? Were games like Mario kart vs computer or real people?

I think if Ridley is playable (pls based sakurik) he will be unlockable, along with Mewtwo, & probably Palutena & Chrom as well, now that I think about it. We won't know if they're in till it either leaks or we unlock them.
Would be fine with it but sad if Palutena doesn't get an awesome trailer reveal for e3.

Surely I am not the only who thinks Chrom isn't a shoo-in? I mean, an Waifu Emblem rep is very likely, but not necessarily Chrom.
If all of these characters are unlockable, who would be announced at E3 then? Only Pac-Man?
Out of all the newcomers, I'm definitely going to go with the Blue Bomber first, which is quickly followed by Rosalina, & then Little Mac. For the veterans, Pit, Peach, & Kirby were my go-to characters since Melee/Brawl, and I want to see how they will fare this time around.
I'm still sad that Peach's hip-check attack still has an explosion of hearts, rather than an actual explosion, though.

It'll just be Sakurai's Mii.
I'll honestly be interested to see what kind of a moveset the Mii character would have. There will be references to the Wii Sports, Wii Party, Wii Music, Nintendo Land, the 3DS Spotpass games, etc.
There is a lot of material to work with.

Yes, I think he will be playable. Avatar of choice for 2 weeks. No NSFW or banworthy avatars.
They could also just be abominations that use all other special moves, akin to a custom stage.

Previously I thought Robin would have a better chance than Chrom...but then the second part of the Gematsu rumor/leak happened. So yeah, I'm expecting Chrom now.

I see. I have my reasons to not believe the second Gematsu rumor, so I am not sure about Chrom being playable.
I have nothing against him, by the way. I just prefer the protagonist of Awakening.
Your not the only one. Chrom/Lucina/Robin all have a chance, imo. I'm still not sure who will get picked.
