Ah, cool, didn't know that. Good change then. Still would've rather seen the frying pan though, but whatever.
So, off thee top of my head, Game and Watch is the only (presumed) character left with sufficient randomness. Wonder how much he'll get reworked, or if that'll just be his "gimmick."
Also, Grand Finals finale with Azen was super hype. Holy shit. Love it.

So lets just say we get 3 newcomers at e3, one being pac man , one being mii, and one being chorus kid. Would you be 100% convinced in the second gematsu leak or still skeptical.
For added giggles lets just say instead of pacman and mii we got two unannounced/unleaked characters (say Takamaru and Chibi Robot) and the final reveal was chorus kid would you believe the leak or still be skeptical?

No one said that Gematsu Leak #1 and 2 are final roster yet but people are suspecting that it's more likely to be final roster tho.
If Chorus Kid got in then it would solid the leaks.

When Shulk was teased in that first X teaser and with the fact X was announced right away world wide I felt Shulk/Xenoblade/X rep was a lock.

Xenoblade and Operation Rainfall were still making some news around the time there was nothing but speculation on SSB4, so that probably helped a smidge. Being one of a few recent Nintendo retail IPs helps.

I don't consider being a party member in an RPG a standalone game.
By that logic, she should just be based off of Super Princess Peach, but I think Nintendo knows to stay away from that one.

Come to think of it, we don't know that it's been changed. It's just that the only pics we've seen of it have been of the tennis racket, so it's (at the very least) a not-unreasonable conjecture that it's been changed.

They are the same. The game kind of teases you the whole way with it and Brawl's trophy plays with it, but the final battle and the scene preceding it confirms they are.

Because it looks cool, and it finally gave Luigi an interesting role in an RPG. Mr. L is just brainwashed Luigi, so having it as an alt costume isn't as weird as, say, Marth/Lucina, where it's a totally different person.
