PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | June 2014

If any of the EU PSN peeps are reading this CAN YOU PLEASE STOP REGRESSING THE STORE EXPERIENCE.

You just took away the "Game => New Releases => *"-submenu, removing among other things the highly useful "New this week" filter from the PS3 storefront, in favour of yet another of those diorama things that you seem so proud of. Guess what, they are fluff and inefficient to navigate, and not useful to your customers.

And you're still lacking the "All deals" section the US PSN store has, listing all items currently on sale or recently price-dropped. So if they do a sale that lasts for a month, you can find them for a month. If you do a sale that last for a month, you can find those items in the first week easy. Starting with the second week however, there's no way to find those deals anymore. You want customers to be able to find your deals, right? That's something you should be adding, not more unfilterable, unsortable diorama fluff.

I can't get enough of Borderlands 2 Vita, minus the framerate hickups here and there I'm having a ball with the game.
All the DLC and "in-app" purchases for Rainbow moon scares me...
That worried me at first aswell but the game is perfectly playable without them thankfully.

It constantly amazes me how a company as big as Sony cannot get something as simple as a store layout right. It's almost as if they go out of their way to make it such an irritating experience that it will drive off any potential customers. That being said, they have fixed the issue that was preventing me from even accessing the thing, and we can use PayPal now, so that's a positive.

They're probably proud that they optimized the all important "clicks until caught in diorama" metric. Maybe ad space placement makes them biased towards that. Though there is space for ads in the plain lowest-level item listings as well.

I just want lists of content items. The menus and submenus are useful insofar they provides combined filter configurations that you just could not set up manually. That's cool. Dioramas OTOH are just road blocks to the underlying item lists, where you typically have to scroll all the way to the end to access the section properly.
(though in the case of this new "New releases" diorama, the full list is in the first box on the very left; as far as dioramas go, that's the right choice)

Quantum conundrum's on sale for £3.99. That's the Portal-esque game with the amazing XMB music, right?
I'd recommend trying the demo, if that's still up. Game has problems. Maybe you'll love what you see, great. I certainly didn't.

Wow. And I thought the EU store was terrible as it was. Not to even mention that it runs like absolute shit on Vita.

Every EUVitagafer! Get P4G. Its on sale now!
Blog EU PS sale

Buy it.

Eeeh. It screams PS+ fodder to me. Though saying that, the rest of that sale is absolute garbage. Seriously, is there any rhyme or reason to these sales? "Lego LotR... Need for Speed... and Retro City Rampage. Yeah that'll do"

Right. Yeah, I tried the demo when it come out and enjoyed it, but never got round to buying it. Was just making sure it was the right game.
I might give the demo another shot first.

Hey guys, I'm currently in England, my native land! Though I usually live in the US. As a result, I'm curious about any Vita games released on physical copies here, but not in the US.
I already know of
- Football Manager Classic
- New Little King's Story
- Vita Pets
- Epic Mickey 2

But that's it. Are there any others I'm missing? Thanks in advance!

Absolutely shameful pricing on some of those PS4 games.

I can get a physical copy for less than that.

ACIV for £44.99 is my favourite. I bought the PS3 version in the Christmas PSN sale for £17.99 and the upgrade for £10. That was 6 months ago and £17 less

You know what? I really think we can be a little optimistic for the Vita's e3 and Scea in general, is already known that at e3 there will be at least Diva f2, Reel Fishing(lol), Persona 4 Dance, Danganronpa 2 and Natural Doctrine, they are all little and niche games and i'm only interested on the last two, but they are neither late ports nor indies, add that there will be for sure other already announced games(Oreshika? Freedom Wars?) some indies and maybe one or two new Scea's late port and we can almost safely say that Vita will have more a little more show this year, imo it's a sign that the new Scea's boss cares more about Vita :)

Unless you're attending E3 2014, I don't know why any of that excites you. Vita has never had a particularly empty show floor presence. It's the complete lack of noteworthy announcements that bum people out.

Not sure about: Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge
Dunno if released in US (physical).

AC4 is the one I'm interested in too. I traded that in back in March to get inFamous for £15 and now I miss AC4 and want it back.

Not for that price I don't.

I forgot about the show floor... :\

Honestly i don't think the lack of good announcements was what made Vita shows awful, but the almost lack of the Vita shows themselves :(

Anyway i'm still a little optimistic :)

So many new players on Dragon Crown Vita - yay value of my platinium trophy on true trophies will skyrocket :D

PS Vita Pupps is going to get better reviews than Borderlands 2 Vita, ahaha.

Of course - it doesn't have PS3 version to compare it to.
