Yeah, already have them pre-ordered. For some reason I don't really want to see more of those games. I just want to play them. Time would almost feel wasted on the Nintendo Digital Event thing if they showed another X or Bayo 2 trailer.

I feel like this with a lot of games nowadays. Outside of Smash Bros., maybe Pokemon and Zelda to an extent, I get sick of seeing a game after it's initial reveal.

I doubt you'll be able to toggle anything. That will probably all be up to the nintendo rep handling the demo. All you will get to do is choose your character and your color (or costume/skin, if applicable). Stage also maybe, but for simplicity it could be random.

Considering the volume they've got to process and the few demo stations they'll have, they'll probably have almost everything disabled outside of character selection just to keep the line moving.

I'll be going with a group of four that is interested in items off/neutral stages, but I highly, highly doubt they'll let us turn off items. Stage picking would be nice, but considering people will probably fighting over stage selection, I can see it being forced random.

Stages are the only thing i can see people being allowed to pick, but who knows. It could be set to players choosing in turns, so if you're lucky enough to be the player number whose turn it is to choose, you get to choose. That said, I think you're right where everything will be locked to speed things up!

Haha, I remember when that started being spread around. While I've got no problem with the possibility that he might be homosexual, I always viewed him more like a samurai: dedicating his life to becoming stronger and mastering his craft. He travels with those close to him, but is probably platonic with everyone. His relationship with Ranulf and Soren always felt more like that than anything. Ike's goals and motivations don't really fit with having a romantic relationship. His support conversations with Soren are fantastic though, and his final conversation with Soren at the end of RD is especially touching. People say that Ike's boring and devoid of emotion, but that conversation is a great example that he's pretty complex.

I always liked Ike and the tellius games for this reason: they avoided the "oh here's a female just for a love interest" trope. That's why characters like Elincia and Titania worked so well, there was no pressure for them to be love interests, they were just good characters that stood on their own.

Although, I guess he got it on with someone given that he's got a descendant in awakening!

Bayo 2 probably fits the bill as it has a lot of trailers already, had demos last time and basically all the needed info without spoiling the good part has been revealed already. For X however, it's still a big mystery as to the premise of the game, character reveals, and a final game title to drum up more interest.

It's not smash bros fault that they decided to make the latest lord(s) have blue hair and be pretty and use a sword. Blame Fire Emblem.

But Awakening, aside from the blue haired lords, also have as protagonist the Avatar/Robin, who's white haired by default. If Villager could make it in, I don't see why the Avatar/Robin can't.

Because villager is from a game series where every playable character ever is a player-created one, so they had no choice but to choose versions that were used in promotional material. Fire emblem awakening has 2+ primary characters, only one of which is player created.

Wasn't roy's game at least already announced? I could be wrong. The next fire emblem game is (afaik) a crossover and will likely focus on existing fire emblem characters.

I think roy was kind of unique in that it was meant to be just a promotional character to promote the new game that was coming out IIRC a week after melee

Actually, Ike's ability to fight for his friends is so strong that he reproduces asexually, by budding.

Yeah, i think you're right. It was announced beforehand with him as the protagonist. Maybe we get a look at a new character in the crossover? I kinda doubt it, but you never know. It seems like Sakurai has been planning ahead with his inclusions in this game.

I hate dynasty warriors, but nintendo throws zelda on it and i'm sold.

I hate tekken (i'm a smash/street fighter guy), but nintendo throws pokemon on it and i'm sold.

I'm a sucker for Nintendo Intellectual properties. Especially zelda. So many other companies that don't normally get money from me... can get money from me if they use the right Nintendo IP.

If nintendo ever releases zelda w/ dlc or dlc for smash, i'll buy all of it, even though i normally hate buying dlc.

It also depends on what IS is actually doing right now. They're probably not working on a new FE game, since they just finished Pushmo World and if SMT x FE is still a thing they're likely devoting some of their resources to that.

I guess it's possible that we see a new one announced at E3 with a surprise Smash Bros. reveal to go with it, but that seems really unlikely.

I could see Pichu reincarnated as Plusle & Minun, since that appears to have been planned for Brawl (as surmised from leftover data), and since the Gen III remakes were inevitable and Sakurai may have anticipated them (if he didn't already know about Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire altogether).
