I have been on NeoGAF for about a year now, it took a while for my account to register for some reason. I love these forums because it showcases awesome gaming articles and a more friendly environment than most gaming websites. I am a PS4/PC owner and have been gaming my whole life.

Anyways this is my first post.

WTF SONY :*(

Shouldn't "rumor" be in the title? C'mon. It's IGN, just like the source that told them Hennig was forced out by Druckmann and Straley.

I can't believe the level of denial in this thread.

Its like the group of Arsenal fans that still believe Fabregas will return over going to Chelsea.

I'm trying to wrap my head around the fact that this title has 8 years of work behind it, and there is not enough content to warrant completing it.

Imagine working somewhere for 8 years and you have nothing to show for it. There are no words.

I love how everyone is taking a random Russian website and IGN's word as gospel. I know this is the Internet but calm down until something is official.

If these sources are legit... goodnight, sweet prince. If it's indeed dead, I'm not surprised, given the silence about it (aside from the "it's coming, guys!") all these years.

Look, not trying to be harsh but this game was obviously not coming. It feels like it was either going to be canceled, or release and be a hot ass mess. If its canceled its probably for the best. It was supposed to be a PS3 game for Christs sake. I cannot even IMAGINE what the hell went wrong with the development of this thing.

Well if Sony does somehow show this at E3, they will be heralded as heroes. This better be some elaborate plan to do just that!

The editor-in-chief wrote the article and Colin Moriarty, their PlayStation expert, retweeted it. You can be sure they're confident in the source.

Sony really wants to ruin the momentum they earned for themselves over the last year, don't they?

Sure people really wanted to play the game (me included), but what if it was just so bad, so unplayable that Sony would rather let it die now then suffer a long, miserable life of ridicule? Some games are just not meant to be released.

It's been as good as cancelled for a while, right?

True visionaries always manage to achieve their goals no matter what. When Sakaguchi said he wanted to make players cry with Cry-On, he meant it, and he succeeded even though the game never made it. Not to be upstaged, Ueda felt he needed to do everything within his power to make players feel true sadness. This was his plan all along.

The true master plan.

That Makes no sense. Lol jk we lied here it is.

Lol wat

It makes sense, it's just dumb.

Rob us of hope through a rumor, then turn that last glimmer into a spark to rise up as a mighty phoenix for extra excitement.

Anyways, why is this news coming a day out from E3?

They should have killed it years ago. So much talent at that studio squandered on a doomed project. Sad, stupid, but mostly sad.

Some people just want to watch the world burn. Tonight is that night.
