Dude, do you know what I mean by saying "3 camera set up" cause there is no need for panning

Ha, is that Dan?

After last year's fake office, the set looks so bland.

On the flip side, maybe their cameras won't get stolen this year.

Meanwhile at Gamespot's small army, Danny representing his honorary GB status by being the only one getting hammered early.

wtf, i would love to see the stats on the amount of traffic that gamespot has compared to giant bomb. that's a big number of people.

It doesn't even compare, which is why they're putting up QLs on Gamespot's page.

The "generation" of people who left GS for GB have all been replaced by younger kids.

GS is massive compared to GB. Google loves GS so they get big traffic that way too. It's interesting to see how many more viewers GB have for their live shows though, shows you how different the two site's audiences are. But yeah, that seems like a huge number of people!

yeah, they probably get big numbers on news articles and reviews. i don't see them getting big numbers on the videos that they put out.

although i really really like gamespot live demos at their stage on E3, so that probably gets them a lot of traffic every year.

Danny joked about The Lobby having fewer viewers than the E3 drive stream did when it was down to 1000 as they were taking a long break (it peaked at 5k, which is crazy), so it's been a long time since people came to GS for that kind of content. I guess you could argue that the audience that liked the more longform podcast and video content went over to GB with Jeff because he and Ryan were such a huge part of that type of content on the site. Gamespot doesn't have much of a community anymore, really.

Yeah, their traditional content still does beast numbers but most of the ad money has transitioned to video, so they've been pushing that for quite a while (Jeff made a funny comment on that during the drive about GS 'adopting' quick looks). Not sure how well it does, don't think it's great for a site that big, but generating an audience takes time.

Also, GS is the E3 media partner, so they pretty much have to go big.

For anyone not watching, Danny says Gamespots first demo of a game (for their show when E3 starts on Tuesday) will be No Man's Sky. Also seems to believe The Last Guardian will be at Sony.

One of the positives mentioned by a GB/GS engineer (? assuming on the title, somebody dropping knowledge in the last thread) was about how much putting GB content on Gamespot will improve Giant Bomb's search rankings regardless of whether there's a link back to Giant Bomb on the page itself. That's the real difference between Giant Bomb and Gamespot traffic. Giant Bomb has a small but very devoted fanbase to the level that they can sustain themselves from subscriptions. Gamespot has so much traffic that people search for "video games" on Google and end up there first.

No mans sky is the amazing looking space game from the joe danger makers (lol) correct?

No offense to joe danger with the lol :(

The dlc guy? Yeah, that's a CBSi engineer.

Lol poor Danny, Alexis fanning the flames.

But seriously, twitch chat is basically all GB. Does Gamespot even have a community?

Late to the party here - - but that is one amazing OP. Kudos! Exactly what this lurker was looking for to keep up to date with the Bomb crew and E3. Can't wait for tomorrow!

Its weird but Gamespot is the one games outlet I have very little knowledge of in 2014... I know most of the other sites pretty well, but I can only name a few of those people in that pic and those are only because of GB crossover and watching the Lobby because of Danny... not something I did on purpose, just kind of turned out that way.
