TLG Support Group -- Now Officially Closed

If it is shown tomorrow, the most we'll probably get is a visual or something with ~PS4~ on it.

I'm optimistic that it'll be shown on some level...

In light of this, TLG is clearly not dead.

Hence the need to serve crow on an epic scale. I have decided One Chef is simply not enough for such a task. So I've decided to use the 'Brigade de Cuisine' system of Chef Titles so that we have a line of authority and distinct duties.

Y2Kev appears to be very hungry and has placed a large order with us, so we have a lot of preperation to do. Roll up your sleves ladies and gents.

Chef de Cuisine (Head Chef): iratA

But no, it is now hyper omega ultra dead and it cannot be revived.

The other thing is that resources were diverted to Project Beast (probably just producers), Knack, Puppeteer, and other Vita projects. Not sure who would be working on this other than a small team and that would mean this is far off. But it is dead so it doesn't matter.

If they dont, we'll wait till TGS. Then till E3... and ever onwards, until either they show it or they cancel it.

And even if the game is cancelled, the journey wont stop. I will never stop loving the image of the ratcatbird nuzzling the little boy. Holy crap.

P.S. How the hell are you not one of the special members? When I think of any Neogaf poster who is on top of Team ICO and Ueda stuff, its you. Maybe iratA just hasnt gotten around to it.

In brief moments where my belief begins to waver I get to the same conclusion as you do...but then why didn't they just come out while the attention of the whole core gaming community was on them and just said: "While TLG hasn't been cancelled and is actually in full development, we won't be showing it to the world at E3"??

We're mere hours away from the event and it's on everybody's minds, so why not mention it, so we won't be disappointed in front of our screens? Media Molecule and GG did it too.

Oh, I am ever hopeful. But all signs seem to point to a no-show again this year. But as you say there's always TGS.

I'd say cancellation is out of the question at this point. From what I can gather this game has been heavily invested in internally, in terms of effort and resources and priorities. It's not the vision that was put in doubt by the new administration at Japan Studio, but the execution - the way the game was being worked on.

In my opinion Ueda's method works great for smaller projects - he keeps total control of all aspects and maintains the highest quality throughout, starting from recruitment to the last touches and adjustments. It becomes some sort of obsession for him and those around him.

It worked well for ICO with a team of 20 or so, and well enough for Colossus' team of 30. But the bigger the team and the grander the vision the less control he can exert while keeping to the set goals. He's known to jump from cubicle to cubicle all day, checking on all of his subordinates, making sure everything's perfect enough. I don't know if he can do that successfully with a team of 50 or 75.

In any case it seems the constant pressure made him reconsider his position at Sony and decided to change things a little by getting himself some freedom and working on some other things.

It looks more like a dog than a cat, but nevermind.

Now that we know the game is definitely not dead, the only question is when will Sony reintroduce it: today or at TGS?

I an honestly truly astonished Last Guardian was a no show. The hype had built to such a tempo that you would think Sony couldn't ignore it.
