E3 2014 Super Smash Bros Impressions (Best Buy Smashfest / Invitational)

I haven't played a Smash game in quite a few years, but man, this was pretty good. The energy was awesome, the players seemed into it, and Reggie was Reggie. Very cool.

They do announce things there sometimes. I remember them showing off Killer Freaks from Space (then turned into ZombiU) when the WiiU was first announced.

The only coverage you'll get from Nintendo roundtables is live blogs unfortunately. Maybe one day we'll see that changed.
 
So my personal no chance in hell wish:

I think it's safe to say (besides Ken getting Marth) one of, if not the, biggest hype moments was Mega Man finally doing the Final Smash, and all of the iterations showing up on screen. So maybe, just maybe, Capcom would notice that and make a new Mega Man game (or better let Nintendo make it)?

I managed to catch some of this during my break and I like what I see. Hope to try it out for myself on Saturday if I don't leave work early enough tomorrow.
 
I hope someone puts together a Pikachu vs Geoff montage to show how he grows increasingly frustrated with Pikachu over the course of the tourney.

I don't even care about Capcom's dumbass right now. That EVERYONE wanted to see that land to the point that everything exploded when the Megaman Assembly came through is a moment that can't be tarnished by anything and should forever exist as a reminder to people what real hype can be.

Truly the best moment of the entire event. Such an incredible build up of excitement, and then the explosion when it landed. I was cheering over an internet stream watching a game I promised myself not to get excited about. Truly gg Nintendo.

Yeah, the way he adapated and owned the last 2 stock was very cool to watch.
 
Are they seriously revealing characters at a dark roundtable when they could of blown the roof off the Nokia Theater with those reveals at the end of the Invitational?

Someone in event planning fucked up.
