Super Mario 3D World and Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze are must buys.
New Super Mario U is the most played game on the house by far.

You seem to be forgetting the wonders of Skype voice chat. Mario Kart 8 is pushed to a while new level playing with Skype and I have no doubt this would be as well.
