Well since this thread is bumped and all, this is probably cheeky as hell, but does anyone have a spare Dead Space 3 key left over from the bundle? I picked it up in the humble bundle and dont wanna go through that solo. Would be nice if I could get my freind to co op it with me. He didnt get the bundle back then so if anyone has a spare now it would be nice.

Yeah, I might be taking the thread title a little too literally. :P

had a couple of beta updates over the past few days, not sure if this was added in recently or not but its about god damn time

theres some other stuff like auto exiting origiin after qutting a game and ignoring non critical game updates.

Man, I was very tempted to get Titanfall, but I did a bunch of research and found a few hitches.

1) It's 50GB. Come on maaaan....
2) Campaign blows so hard it doesn't even count as a thing.
3) Limited weapons. Loadouts work for BF and such but for 6v6 small arena twitch shooters like this? Dude you need like 9 guns a match to keep it interesting. Forever mixing it up. See: UT, Q3, Halo.
4) Only two modes people play and they are barely different.
5) Watching on twitch I saw most matches lasting 8-10mins and then 3 mins connecting for a new match. That is a bad balance, though they say they're working on fixing up the matchmaking.

I think the game could potentially grow out of 4 & 5, but because it's from CoD guys you know 3 won't change, and right now the game just isn't worth it. Honestly, PvZ Garden Warfare looks like 5x as interesting. Though I just got BF4 Premium so I have a lot to dig into anyway.

Wrong thread? :lol

Titanfall is an Origin exclusive (as are BF4 and PvZ GW) and on a significant sale right now.

In the Steam thread we discuss all kinds of games that are on Steam as we debate biting on sales or end up getting them or playing things in our backlogs, etc. Sorry to disturb your creepy Origin culture of silence and isolationism.

Lol don't mind them. I agree with all your points, I bought titanfall at release and I highly regret it.

I wonder if they only read the title and thought this thread was about getting games for free and not just a general Origin thread.

Anyway, after further investigation, PvZ Garden Warfare looks super swag and PC gets the Garden Variety and Zomboss Down content included. The DDX edition bonuses seem pointless since they're only meaningful if you play the game a lot, and if you play a lot you'll be earning enough coins to get items for your characters yourself. Not really worth the $5... or shall I say $9.50 because GMG is selling the regular edition and they have a 15% off voucher (or even 25% if you haven't set up playfire yet), so yeah I went for that. I don't see it drawing in too many ragebros so it should be a silly good time.

Origin 5ever! Seriously, current sale is great, get ME3 if you haven't already.

I cant find GMG listing Garden Warfare.

Is there any way to download DLC you bought from EA but you don't have the base game from EA?

Specifically, I bought Dragon Age: Origins when it launched on Steam. A few months after the release of Awakening I bought it during a sale on EA's store (before Origin existed). This downloaded and installed fine to my Steam version of the base game and I played it but never finished it. I was interested to replay DA but can't seem to figure out how to download the DLC. It's still in my order history, but no where in the Origin client.

Any ideas?

Do you have the cd key anywhere? I would try registering that to origins if you can find it.

You could always try talking to ea customer support, most people seem to have good experience with them

I dug up the 4 year old email and it had a key in it, I applied it in Origin and it worked and I assume credited the expansion to my account. Unfortunately the way Origin works is that you select a game, then the DLC for that game shows up so I can't see a way to install this to my Steam version now. I don't see how support could fix it, but maybe I could try.

Back when I bought it you used some sort of EA downloader to download an exe, then you ran the exe and it asked you where your DA:O directory was, you could direct it to the Steam directory and it would work fine. Seems very unlikely to work like this now.

Edit: Also I remember back when I bought it the Steam page for the game said only Steam's expansion would install to a Steam base game. This was absolutely false, as I did it, but I'm sure support will point to this regardless.

£2.99 for standard ME3 and £2.50 for deluxe upgrade over on Origin at the moment. Not bad.

Other DLC is still subject to terrible Bioware points.

I just did this a few months ago. You need to go to the old Bioware social site. The game isn't integrated with Origins.

The Bioware points can be grabbed off Origin but I'm assuming the process of redemption is through Bioware's site still.

Really ridiculous at that. 2 x 800 points is cheaper than 1 x 1600 points. No economy of scale. Costs 3200 to get all the main ME3 DLC.

Do you remember where?

In my profile page it lists me as having registered the expansion, if I try to re-register the option is to remove registration, so I assume everything is set. Though if I go to the registered game content page, there is a list of things with download links and it isn't there. It lists the blood dragon armor, the stone prisoner, and the lucky stone but no Awakening.

Might as well bump this:

Peggle is currently "On the House"

Not sure what's different (if any) from the Steam version (which doesn't have Nights, Origin doesn't have it either AFAIK, you'll have to buy that seperately) which doesn't have resolution options beyond 800x600/small resolutions to where you pretty much have to play it in a window if you want decent "sharpness." But hey... free and it's Peggle.

This made me lol, I can't imagine anybody having only origin on their system and no steam

Hence why Origin is better than Steam.

(Actually, wait- what do you mean? I lost the thread somewhere along the way...)

*shakes fist*

That was a naughty ninja edit to make, Authority!

It was a stupid attempt of a stupid inside joke!

Goddammit you are fast in here. Well played.

Does the Origin version of ME1 include improvements that Steam does not include? Been wondering for a while. I always feel like I am part of a kickstarter project playing ME1 (loooool)

I think they're the same. Pinnacle Station (DLC 2) is apparently integrated into the PC version, though I have no memory of it whatsoever. Bring Down the Sky (DLC 1) has to be downloaded from the Bioware Social site and installed using the provided installer.

FYI: Bring Down the Sky was made free some time ago, so don't be afraid to grab it at your leisure. (p.s. Bioware Social is a mess, so I'd recommend backing up anything you download from there. I feel like that site will collapse if I look away from it.)
