Where do you go to input said code? I just realized, there isn't much of a point trying to beat people to codes, and then not knowing where the hell to put the code in. xD

If someone says "quote for code" they mean you open up the quote window and the code appears right there in the text editor between EMAIL tags.

If someone says "first to quote gets a code" then he most likely means you should quote and say something.

It is a way to give codes only to Gaf members by using [ /EMAIL] tags.
