Without a doubt the most enjoyable experience playing this game is coop, the spider tank was a pain!

I was with a group last night and the spider tank bugged, it was stuck in mid air.

I like the game just don't like the bullet sponge nature of the bosses. Otherwise pretty fun, will be a serious timesink, imo

Anybody know how long, approximately, we need to hang around the Forgotten Shore for Fallen to appear with Pikes?

Dunno, it might be event related. I spent some time there last night and couldn't get the pike riding fallen to show up again.

I don't get all these bullet sponge complaints about the Devil Walker and Sepiks Prime. Get better weapons and focus fire on the weak points. Use your supers and heavy weapons. It really isn't challenging yet.

What I think would be a great compromise is have Sepiks/Walkers show more damage as they get weaker. It's all about damage feedback.

When I first started playing I reasoned that either I've gotten unbelievably good at headshotting from medium to long distance, or there is a crap load of aim assist. I realized it was the latter pretty quickly when my reticle was being jerked left and right in view of enemies.

It's quite a bit too strong, needs to be reduced by 50% or something.

You know it's too much when you take a shot and immediately go to correct your aim because you know it shouldn't have hit it's Mark but you are surprised to see the head pop off like a rocket.

The orb-like enemies do show cracks, but only just before they're defeated. I wonder what a bullet damaged sphere could do to show it's hurt.

So, on the strike mission near the spider tank boss, I found a fallen ghost thing on a table upstairs to the left of the tank boss that I could revive. Anyone have any idea what that does?

I think it unlocks something on Bungies webzone. IIRC there was an on screen message saying something about that.

Will be trying this later.

Honestly it's probably 2-5%, the high estimate only because of the two PvP maps in included.

Not only are there more locations on earth, but Mars, the Moon, and Venus, not to mention things we don't know about yet.

Don't forget the expanded level cap and loads more loot too.

Would you mind providing evidence of other locations on Earth? I remember Chicago concept art but that's it.

Just did the strike mission and Devil's Lair in legendary. We must've died like 20 times, but we did it! I'd sell my Guardian ass for some heavy ammo. Talk about scarce

Also uploaded my first YouTube video in The Crucible. Eventually I'll learn how to use that awesome ShareFactory app. This game is charming as hell. Definitely a buy :)

Yeah love the game but my complaints:

- Nerf vehicles in PvP
- Nerf the tank health during the first dungeon. Takes a lot of time to destroy it.
- Fetch quests can get a bit repetitive.
- Map for exploration mode?

Dem vehicles!! Seriously what a cop out for kills. Loved the moon map tho

A million times yes. I don't really use vehicles, just the Sparrow to get around faster. And I'm more of a PTFO guy, so I'd rather cap points than drive around and racking up kills. But I know that does help in a way because the more dead guys on the other team = easier time for the rest of your team to cap. I hate how there's no counter to vehicles besides other vehicles or supers. Wish there was hijacking like in Halo. Maybe when I unlock the Hunter's tripmine, I could use that as a counter.

One game l played last night with other GAFfers had me finish with had 4 kills, 0.5 K/D ratio, but 13 captures.

Edit-

Is your character a female Exo?

The Sparrow is awesome. It is super. The other stuff and Turrents. GO HOME

Only complaint I have are boss fights, they're just bullet sponges. The devil mission with septus prime(?) once my team got him to about 20% health a bunch of grunts started spawning and a few captains. Which made it ridiculously difficult and not in the fair way, horrible game game design right there. Besides that day one still.

Echoes my thoughts too. I was having fun with the game up until it took so long to kill that boss.

Stay mobile and use double jumps and slides to avoid damage. Take cover when you're hurt. It really isn't challenging yet.

I wish you could get a visual indications of that like he is getting more angrier or his armor falling apart, that could help

I'm hoping someone will answer my question about the supposed scale of this game. Could someone estimate the % of the game contained in the alpha? Do you think Old Russia is the only Earth zone? Will each planet only have one zone of similar size? That'd make it 1/5 of the total land mass, excluding the tower and PvP. I really hope there's more.

The alpha scales to one big level in Halo Reach easily.

I saw them appearing more if you are in a squad near to building showed in the first demo demo. ships constantly spawn there.

You're probably not gonna find an answer. Nobody outside Bungie knows for sure how big the game is.

That's what worries me. I absolutely love this game, but if they want me to play it for a year I hope there's enough content to satisfy my appetite. The fact that they kept showing Old Russia in marketing stuff and the level cap of 20 makes me think this game isn't quite as huge as some might think.

Are there supposed to be other people in my world? Because I'm alone running around and it's frankly pretty dull. Can I party up or something? I just beat the into mission and ran around the tower.

How long does it take you to kill the devil walker and sepiks prime if I may ask?

Because when I did the strike on easy mode, which is supposedly balanced around level 6, with a random group consisting of players levels 8,8 and 7. Both bosses took us longer to kill, than most actual raid bosses on heroic mode in WoW took me when I played that. And yes we did indeed shoot the legs on the spider tank, exposing the core, as well as shooting the eye on sepiks prime. I won't deny that we could have most certainly done it quicker had we been even more overgeared/overleved, and properly coordinated. But that doesn't change the fact that they are quite simply taking too long to kill atm, you might disagree and that's fair, but it's been the one near universal complaint I've seen people have about this game so far.

Why are you worrying? Why are you assuming they want you to play for a year? Outside of multiplayer games, I've never played any single-player content that lasts for a year without updates.

They probably keep showing Old Russia because they don't want to spoil the rest of the locations in the game.

This has probably been asked lots of time, but...

I really like the combat in this, but I fear there will be no real core storyline in this game when it releases. I would love a game that controls like this with a tight story arc (like Halo), not s series of interconnecting quests masquerading as a story (Skyrim. Borderlands).

I still have no idea what this game is, other than it plays well.

Because I played a milion billion hours of Halo 3 and I want to spend at least as much time on this game. :(

Despite a couple of issues, certainly isn't enough to have an impact on the game. I've grown to love it so far, I can't wait to see what the full game is like. I've sampled everything the alpha has to offer but I feel like there's so much more to do.

So after this, I guess we can kiss our alpha characters goodbye? :(

What makes you think this'll have any less content than Halo 3?

Nothing. I know it will have more. It's just that the competitive MP hasn't really hooked me like Halo did, but the exploration stuff is great. I just hope there will be enough unique things to do out in the world to keep my friends and I playing for a long time.

Some things in PvP are really annoying me:
-Spawning with a shotgun does not work. Maybe it can kinda work in games with near instant kill-times, but not in this game.
-Getting into a fight with an enemy only for him to pull some super charge ability out of his ass and kill you instantly is not fun.
-The tank vehicle thingy is incredibly overpowered.

Especially the first two things are really disappointing to see in a Bungie game.

Pretty much. After the alpha is done, it's clean slate.

Definitely agree with those saying enemies spawn too fast in free-roam mode.

No way. It's easy and not frustrating to "farm" certain enemies for quests (the one which asks you to kill 10 yellow health bar enemies) and if you just want to chill in free roam mode while getting some XP you don't have to travel across the whole map just to find a few enemies.
I kept circling the area where the Spider Tank public event takes place and I always had something to kill.

We only have two maps and one game mode so far. I expect Bungie to produce an even bigger competitive multiplayer game than Halo 3, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will capture as large an audience.
