That's pretty dang funny. Living in Chile for a couple of years, it took me most of the first year to just understand the street slang.

Both Holland and Chile have done the same thing. Beat up Spain and struggle with Australia. Hard to gauge how good they are.



This is a pretty spot on statement.

Well, Spain wasn't as bad and dead as this during their first game. They hadn't lost yet. Their passing worked better.

Australia could've beaten Chile at some point, were really pushing for an equaliser and got a goal being denied. Chile looked exhausted at that point. Netherlands today eventually outplayed Australia after some changes were made, and did so until the final whistle. Its the other way around, really.

I think Chile is a more offensive played side but Holland has better stamina. Both times Holland recovered from being behind (and both times the penalty was bs)

Seems like a difficult game for sure. Chili plays with a balls to the walls mentality and they have some great players on that squad. Really impressed by them. A tie could be enough though for first place, if they don't score any more here or if Spain gets some in.

The thing is though, whoever finished first or second in Group A is gonna be a difficult match either way. Brazil can win every game and Mexico looked great yesterday as well.

Yeah that's absolutely true, either one is gonna be hell to play against, though I'd still favour our chances against Mexico a lot more. I think it's pretty rare for a host nation to get knocked out that early in the tournament and ah well, they've got a lot going for them in their home country there. All in all, Brazil needs to be avoided at all costs imo.

Oh well, maybe if we're lucky Brazil will end up second in their group, that's also still possible.
