I'm located in Japan and we will watch the match at the office tomorrow morning. Problem is, we don't have a TV or a OneSeg tuner there. So just computers and a internet connection. What are our options to watch the game online? Hope you guys can help me out here. I appreciate it, thanks!

Don't any of the Japanese broadcasters offer live streams of their programming?

The broadcasters were listed in the first World Cup thread's OP:
Original OP said:
Japan
Fuji TV, NHK, Nippon Television, TBS, TV Asahi, TV Tokyo

Have you checked them?

edit: I mean, they stream the games with multiple camera angles even in football nations such as Finland. I think finding an official stream in Japan shouldn't be impossible.

Nippon Television is broadcasting it and they don't offer a livestream. They are pretty restrictive here about this kind of stuff. Thanks for bringing it up tho!

It's interesting how you can pirate stuff like this but download a game and you're getting a permaban.

Not really when you consider circumventing a geolock is not illegal, while downloading software is.

I think an Adblocker is more debatable on illegality than geolock circumvention is.

Can't wait to see more Sterling action, hope he'll score this time.

Also rooting for Cote d'Ivoire, because the Colombian manager apparently doesn't want to field Ramos.

Can you explain this British term to me? I don't know if I should believe urban dictionary.

I only know it in it's literal sense, driving a vehicle into the front of a shop, hopping out and piling as much stock into the car as possible before driving off. Sounds good for football use though :P

I support Liverpool btw, that's one of the few ways one can come to stand by Suarez :P

Hodgson saying we're going to attack Uruguay..... WHO IS THIS IMPOSTER!

Don't believe his lies

I think it's a half-truth, the front 3 will go HAM, especially whoever plays left wing, but everyone behind will have to be disciplined. Best way to stop Uruguay is to stop Suarez, best way to stop Suarez is to prevent him from getting the ball to his feet with room to turn

Damn didn't see the Croatia game but I'll need to.

So with Spain and Australia both knocked out do they still HAVE to play each other?

Spain worst champion ever confirmed.
It had already happened 4 times that champions go home in the first round: Italy 1950 (the Great Torino incident with some of the best italian players) and 2010, Brazil 1966 and France in 2002, but it never happened that the champions lost both the first 2 games, and like that.

I believe no side has won the World Cup with fewer goals than Spain's eight goals in 2010 either, even in the old days of <32 countries.

Honestly, too many 'neutrals' in the stadium damages the atmosphere.

Hopefully there will be less of them when the teams with small fanbases in Brazil start getting eliminated.

you can shove your 'it's their World Cup they should see as many games as they want' up your arse

There aren't enough fans from other teams outside of the American Continent there. The stadiums would be empty otherwise. England only have about 7000 fans there

Anyway, its better than BBBBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

giving people room to run hasn't been as big a problem as giving people room to shoot from range.

two goals in three games have come from just not closing down on players sizing things up outside our area.

Urgh.

If you do this at least donate some money to BBC Children in Need or something. Or just don't. iPlayer is stressed enough as it is without foreigners stealing it.
Wow, seems like a really big deal. Alright, I will drop that option then. I don't wanna be that foreigner guy who is stealing your streams and women. Seriously, you need to relax. Thanks to the fellow GAFfers who tried to help me out!

I can kind of see where he's coming from tbh. I don't use iPlayer much so don't know how much of an impact VPN-users have on it, but it's funded by people who pay the license fee rather than advertisers, so I'd be pretty pissed if it was rendered unusable because of it and I was paying for it

50p to Children In Need and you can leech away though :P

Is there not massive irony that FIFA are investigating certain fans for 'homophobic' chants when they awarded the 2022 World Cup to a nation where homosexuality is actively illegal?

You know, that's what I don't get. Getting upset about people using the BBC stream once for free and talking about charity at the same time. How is that even possible lol. I actually just donated yesterday to the earthquake victims here in Japan and I will gladly donate to Chidren In Need, just don't use that charity story to cover up your actual problem, guys: money. It's sad to see that a TV fee is that important tho. I won't use it, so relax.
