DestinyGAF Clan -> Request thread

Anychance we can have the initials after our name say GAF this time? It bugged me in the alpha that it displayed as DAF

edit: make that Bungie name Carth

I agree, but some people.. like the idea of having everyone under one roof. and managing like 1000 people or so.

idk why they want that. managing 400 PS4 players and having threads dedicated to 1 single platform is more convenient than 4 threads on the same topic for 4 different platforms.
 
I'm really confused at the moment. There are like 3 groups called DestinyGAF, one on the Alpha site and 2 groups on Bungie.net

Pretty sure I have joined or followed all 3 but are 2 of them solely for the entirety of GAF?

I left the clan on the Alpha site and wondering whether it was the right thing to do...
 
The platform specific group is fine Shadownet. It makes things much more organized and it'll be much faster than having to inquire what platform any interested parties are playing on. Like someone said before it was the same for gtav. All these groups can coexist.

The alpha clan will disappear when the alpha site closes.

This group is for PS4 and the other is general.


Join either, join both ..... whatever you think is best.
 
I'd love to get in on this, didn't get a chance to play with any gaffers during the alpha.

I just wanna hear some opinions.

I can fully understand the other team opinions and I respect that. I just thought having a smaller amount of players to manage mean we can help more people and run a tighter ship. so to speak.

It's perfectly fine. There just needs to be better differentiation/communication between each group so they all actually have a purpose.

What we don't want to do is end up with loads of groups that are all trying to be the same thing.

If we stick to having dedicated console clans and one larger all encompassing group that would hopefully alleviate any potential confusion.

Do we know whether there is the ability to have one group then split it off into clans?

So far it seems as if there will be 4 or 5 different groups rather than Clans?

I gave my opinion a few posts up. I like the idea of a platform specific group partitioned by region or timezone. I also like the main group that covers all platforms. Both groups can coexist.

Just to clear it out. This thread is recruiting for PS4 only DestinyGAF PS4.

some people in the other thread said that you can indeed split off a Group to become multiple clans.

But does that mean if we are all under DestinyGAF.

they'll be a PS3, PS4, 360, Xbone clan?

what about people in different time zones?

are we going to have PS3 - East Coast? PS3 - West Coast Clan? etc etc.

I set up this Group because since we're only dealing with PS4. we can afford to split into maybe at most 7 different time zone clans. instead of dozens that the other Group might have to do.

so all we have would be PS4 - East Coast, etc.

Less people, easier to manage and keep everything in order.
