I think I'd probably do anything for a playable Ganon if he had this moveset.

Plusle & Minun are another unpopular pick, but they’re my favorite third generation Pokémon, which is newly relevant through Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. I also love gimmicky tandem characters like Ice Climbers and Rosalina & Luma, and there’s a lot to explore by emulating the Double Battle mechanic — they’d attack in turns rather than simultaneously like the Ice Climbers.
Sakurai pls listen to this man.

I would give anything...

rest of your list is aight tho

Desired playable Zelda characters:

1. Skull Kid
2. Midna
3. Tingle (because fuck everybody!)
4. The Moon

don't really care after that tbh :|

In honor of Pac-Man joining Smash, I decided to download Pac-Man World off of PSN.

I remember playing this as a kid. It was good then and still good today. A very solid platformer. I highly recommend it.

New background get! Although, is it me or are those character renders kinda low-res?

I've been playing Pac-Man World 2. It's not as good as I remember, and pretty unpolished, but I'm enjoying it.

Pac-Man World 3 is some hot garbage though. They gave Pac-Man a voice and it's horrible.

Never understood why. Did Pichu leave that bad of a taste to others?
wasted slot, clone blah blah blah is what those who do not like Pichu say.

I loved the little guy. Even if they hate it and think Pichu took up a spot it had just as much a 'right' to be in the game as any other Nintendo character.

I didn't give a damn that Pichu wasn't a great fighter I still had a blast using Pichu all the same and laughing as my friends chased me down to eliminate me.

There's also his Namco callback move:
And those might not be all of them, but they seem to all have different effects. The Galaxia ship is probably what we're seeing here:
He's got a surprising amount of complexity for such a basic guy.

The trampoline is direct from Mappy, so what if that's just the effect for the Namco move?

The Namco sprites thing is probably a taunt.

After replaying Super Metroid, I really hope we can see Mother Brain's cyborg body in the game, playable, boss, assist trophy, or otherwise. So I guess that's my DLC suggestion.

In a world as diverse as Pokemon I would prefer a character choice that wasn't so similar in design to the yellow mouse we already have.

I guess. For me, if they played differently enough to where I can identify and use in different situation from another, a similar design wouldn't bother me much.

I can't wait to play as Takamaru in Smash Bros 4, he'll make a great mii sword fighter

lol ouch but Sakurai basically said it himself in the Mii Fighter video. We can now create anyone we want.*

Here are my top five DLC requests.

Splatoon is arguably Nintendo EAD’s first character-driven IP since Pikmin (which is 13 years old), and the Inklings seem tailor-made for Super Smash Bros. They’re a perfect fit both visually and mechanically.

Mewtwo is one of the community’s most requested characters, and it’s seen a tremendous resurgence over the last two years. It was the first Mega Evolution to be revealed, it starred in last year’s Pokémon film, it appeared in Pokémon Origins, it appeared at the end of X/Y, and it’s set to appear in the upcoming Pokémon film.

Donkey, Diddy, and Dixie are the only characters who are playable in multiple mainline Donkey Kong games, and only Dixie is missing from Smash Bros. More notably, she’s playable in the recent Tropical Freeze. It would be very easy to give Dixie a unique hair-based moveset, too.

Yes, I really want to play as Toon Zelda. I’m fine with clones if they actually make sense. Zelda and Toon Zelda look nothing alike, and while Zelda is tall, slow, and powerful, Toon Zelda would be short, fast, and less “explosive.”

Also, Mario has Peach, Link has Zelda, and Pit has Palutena. The obsessive-compulsive in me wants to see Toon Link get his princess.

I'm ok with the first 3 but I think the boat has sailed for the others, even of we're getting those remakes for pkmn.

He would be neat. I'd take him as a FS if all else fails.

It's always going to bother me when awesomeness like Mawile and Lilligant get passed over for a clone of something already pretty much represented/catered for :/

I know Sakurai needed a Pikachu clone for Melee, but I think Azumarill would have been better in the long run instead of Pichu. It's Neutral-B could be BubbleBeam, Side-B could be Double-Edge, Up-B could be Waterfall, and Down-B could be Whirlpool. It'd be a more powerful, but slower Pikachu with Water effects. They even have the same basic body style: plump (at the time for Pikachu), long ears, and a jagged tail. Too bad they went with Pichu.

Also, yes to Inkling, Dixie, and Mewtwo for DLC. No to the other two. To add to DLC, 9-Volt for a WarioWare rep. He could use forgotten Nintendo relics, like the Ultra Hand and the Power Glove.

I've always thought that was a terrible design. Just looks goofy as hell for what's supposed to be a serious game.

I'm hoping for Takumaru however unlikely.. Given the long awaited appearance of the game in the west and the level on Nintendo land I have hope. It's the closest I'll get to a solid samurai character in smash. I really wanted to like Jack in that CN smash clone, I really did.

Gotta love the fact they gave Mac Kirby the American eye brows.

On the topic of a expanded edition down the road: it would be a great idea to have all the extra content in one package but one of the problems deal with Namco-Bandai who may not be free to work on more Smash unless they continue their contract somehow. If the content came in smaller pieces it might be easier to have some other teams work on it and persuade Sakurai, who needs a rest, to overlook the content in a more leisurely pace.

I think Mother Brain is pretty intimidating, especially the part where she slowly comes back to life after being drained by the Metroid. She only looks goofy when you kick her ass with the Hyper Beam.

Granted, her Other M appearance looked... Odd.

I feel the same way with Link and Toon Link but here we are.
Pokemon and Zelda are two different things. With Pokemon, variety is the entire point, there are so many different types of Pokemon to choose from, so having Pikachu and Pichu is literally the worst thing you can do for Pokemon representation. Even someone like Cubone or Polywhirl would be a better choice than Pichu.

With Zelda it's totally different, Link and Toon Link represent two different sides of the Zelda series. Adult Link and Young Link, semi-realistic artstyle and cartoony artstyle. They're equally important.

Hey, any DKC:Tropical Freeze vets here?

How do I fill in the little DK icon on the stages?

I'm trying to collect everything this playthrough.

Tangent and all but after watching the Yoshi moveset breakdown on ClashTournaments' Youtube page, holy shit.

Yoshi might legitimately get a lot of game time from me now. Those buffs/changes are wild.

1. Get all the KONG letters
2. Get all the puzzle pieces
3. Get a medal in time attack
4. Beat the stage on hard mode
