I look at Amiibo like it's a Pokemon. I can train it and fight it myself, have it fight alongside me, or have it fight my friends' Amiibos.

One of the best ways to explain it to friends

or Medabots, but whatevs

EDIT: Cant believe I was wearing that avatar for another unnecessary day....fixed that problem.

I think it sounds fun to have a new sort of SSB tournament where it's a team match, you and your amiibo vs an opponent and his amiibo. Gotta train your partner up, make sure they're a character that gels well with the character you choose to play as, etc. FUN!!!

I'm expecting an Assist Trophy reveal tonight. Since I don't know if the S Flag's essentially Assist Trophies for Namco, my money's on the Pac-Man Ghosts.

So the official titles for the two games are Super Smash Bros. Wii U and Super Smash Bros. 3DS? That's pretty terrible. I know there have been a lot of joke posts about there being no 'cool' sounding synonyms for brawl/melee left, but surely they could come up with something better.

They don't want you asking if you can play Smash Bros on your Xbone

and yet tons of people still will be asking this

Pic of the day. Here's Donkey Kong's third standard special attack, Storm Punch!! Thanks to the customization options, each fighter is stocked with 12 different special moves. The number of attacks is pretty appalling.

We've made it so that customization options, including special attacks, will be disabled when you're playing online in With Anyone mode. After all, we have to think about game balance, and it's crucial for anonymous players to be able to use reliable tactics against one another. When you're playing in single player, battling with friends online, or playing locally, you're free to play however you want--with or without customization.

Sakurai calls them Smash Bros 4 (3DS) and Smash Bros 5 (Wii U) if that's any easier for you to say/remember.

Okay, that... That's really cool.

Pic of the Day shows DK's "Giant Storm", one of his customizable Neutral-B specials. Every character will have a total 12 different specials from which to choose, but none of the alternate specials can be used with For Anyone mode online (old information).

Look, if any character needs to have DLC its Captain Toad.

YES! He's too adorable. :3

1. The Masked Man (Mother 3)
2. King K. Rool
3. Banjo-Kazooie

I love you <3

Sweet

I got to say, I don't like that the animation is exactly the same. I understand time constraints and all, but really, a lot of these custom moves look like the same things you could easily get out of the moveset editors for Brawl.

That's neat. I'll mostly play default, but it'll be fun to mess with custom movesets once in awhile. I can't wait to see if "Easter egg" type moves are a thing.
