Ive read today that Kroos will be coming to Madrid if we find a way to unload Khedira.

Van Ghoul pls

Would be great for Bayern. Next time against Madrid, they will have the same slow pace as Bayern. But Munich wont let him go this season though.

Arkos

Nose how to spell and rede to
Omfg. Watching ESPN this morning and I think they have switched to a "flatter" design. How many millions do you think some firm got paid for that

This might have been posted already, but check out this clip

the Jones goal on Univision with Spanish commentary

Mexican commentators are the absolute best lol.

I love it when ESPN use Fernando Palomo and Alejandro Moreno as their commentators this WC, we can expect to hear them later today when Mexico play Croatia. They bring this same enthusiasm to English language commentary and yes Palomo does shout "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL" when someone scores.

Oh man hate choices

Do I watch Australia batter Spain

Or Netherlands vs Chile

Not like both matches results matter or anything

The results do matter though, coming first in the group can be a huge positive.

If they come 2nd, they will likely be playing Neymar and Brazil in the first knock-out round...right? I'm sure they don't want that.

Australia and Spain will be looking to leave with some dignity. TBF Australia has been great so they should be proud either way, Spain will be desperate though.

I'm watching both at once, will be good for different reasons.

Netherlands - Chile is the battle for 1st in the group though, which is what you want to get to the "easy" side of the bracket

there is only one match to watch. Netherlands-Chile

I love both teams and its going to be hard to watch :(

Australia and spain...not so much, spain is boring and Australia, well its australia.

Am I completely mad, have a lost my mind, am I totally blind at this point or is this my reality where Australia is probably going to beat Spain at this point at least based on form.

I think Australia can do it, the issue is Cahill is out (Suspended) and so is Bresciano and Milligan (Injury) making this the youngest team to run out onto the field this entire world cup.

This young team is going to be nervous.

Surely Spain cares that if they lose it's the worse performance by a World Cup Champion in history.

I feel it's risky, but I'm going for Australia 2-1.

Must be hard for a guy like you to watch 7 Bayern players in the starting 11 and the midfield being Kroos, Schweinsteiger and Lahm. It will be even more funny if Bayern brings this cup to Germany.

Not at all. I just want the strongest lineup possible. And guess what? Right now I'd remove Real's Khedira and add Schweinsteiger too.

But I'd remove Götze. He is technically gifted and a great player but he too often keeps the game in tight places. Either through dribblings or very short tiki taka like passing.
I'd prefer a more straightshooting player like Lululukas Podolski or Schurrle who more often cut through the back 4 with runs.
Also Klose's quality and experience is something that shouldn't be sitting on the bench for too long. Yeah he's probably not gonna last 90 minutes but he'll last longer than 20.

Furthermore: I'd prefer to move lahm to the RB. The 4 CB experiment should't be continued. Dont know if Durm is up to the LB task. He cant be confident after having Howedes put in front of his nose last minute.

Maybe Kroos Khedira and Schweinsteiger could give the stability it needs. That's certain: they need more and better control in the midfield.

Australia 2 - 0 Spain

The Aussies will want to beat the reigning world champion and double European champion at all cost while Spain just has no real motivation... Win or lose their soul has been crushed already.

John Dunbar

correct about everything
i think chile will probably win, though. no van persie means the dutch attack is all on robben, and he won't be able to do it alone.

We still have the 2012 bundesliga topscorer. Even though he was injured most of this season his 12 goals in 18 matches is still pretty good.

Not sure whether he's going to play though.

Such a heart breaking end for us (the USA)

My 13 year old son and his best friend were on the edge of tears after just moments before running up and down our street screaming "USA USA USA!"...so lucky the cops weren't called..

It was moving tho what he said to me post game. Sitting on the floor he looked up at me and said "One day I'll take us too the cup game, and maybe one day win it!"

And he just might! He lead his team to a 1st place finish in a localntourney earlier in that day..he starts for the NJ state ODP team at ST/RW...he trains 4 days a week, including Futsal in the winter and 3v3 league in the summer...My shed is DESTROYED from being used as a freekick target since he was 5..Hes grown up with the internet allowing him to watch every highlight or game, FIFA to let him play and see it virtually, Fox Soccer/Fox 1/GolTV/BeIn/NBC letting him consume hours of games in almost every league, Ive even taken him to over 100 MLS games..

Currently Klinsman is really taking control of American youth Soccer. He dictates the formation the boys are suppose to train in (4-3-3) The boys not only train but have class room sessions. I drop my son at colleges 2 times a year for 4 day camps where they train at day and have "classes" at night. The coaches and parents are specifically told "Let the child decided what to do on the field!"

So while last night was heart-breaking, and still amazing, I can only look at American soccers progression from when I was a child and be happy at how far weve come.
And look out world...theres million of America children like my son, and better, just 10-15 years away from heading up our national squad, its only up from here for us!

I had nightmares about the end of the match. I know probability wise the US is in a strong position to advance but I think we need to score at least 1 goal against Germany ( and not let in a ton obviously). Going to be a long couple days.

Lets hope he does one day.

This is what football is though which is why it is the greatest sport on the planet. Let no one tell you otherwise.

Its heart breaking to see your team stand on the edge and yet see it all slip away in just seconds. Very very painful. I'm sure everyone experience this and yet we keep coming back and hoping our team will win. :)

Hey i even see San Marino winning the world cup one day.

This world soccer trophy has proven that Clint Dempsey is in the top three most valuable players in the world. The USMNT have proven how good they can be, and I think they will be strong favourites going into next years world soccer tournament. The team should be able to beat the German team comfortably, the Germany tie against Ghana proved that.
