I'm indifferent. If he's in fine if he's cut fine.
Lucas wasn't a very good character so I'm ambivalent.
I'm just bitter that this already reduces Kumatora's non-existent chances to the negative zone.

If someone has to go, I think he is one of the better ones to lose. Though I don't see why he couldn't just be an alt costume for Ness combined with the custom moveset feature.

I'm a little put off by custom movesets. While I love the idea of it, it's disabled in online with anyone and I would have to set up my character again every time I go to a friend's house to play. It basically means that for people that really want to be good at multiplayer with anyone, a lot of moves like Palutena's extras will be locked off...
why would you do that?
I probably don't care because I got tired of people saying "HEY WONT YOU PLAY LUCAS? YOUR NAME IS ALSO LUCAS YOU SHOULD PLAY LUCAS"Specially when I played Ness.
I'd rather have a new character / someone different from Ness, that's the reason I don't care much about Falco / Wolf being cut too. I mean, I love them, but having Fox + 1 is enough for me.

Falco and Fox are very similar. Wolf is not similar to either.

It's at uncertain times as now that I'm kinda sad that Lucas gradually worked himself up from character who I didn't even know at the time of his reveal to one of my most used in Brawl, he finally breaches my top 5 characters to play as and then he's rumoured for cutsville.
Unless they moved Gangplank Galleon into the jungle that is, it would fit the Smash trend of Water and Jungles, perhaps this requires further research.

The only thing I'd actively like cut from smash bros is Mario's Fludd. I don't even play the poor red plumber and yet it hanging off his moveset like some weird cancerous growth has always bothered me XD

Falco has normal and special moves that function differently in addition to looking differently. Wolf... not so much.
Unless amiibos function as an alternate means of transferring custom movesets. I know that they've been stated to be used as the FP, but if you give your FP a custom moveset, maybe there's an option to allow you to play as your FP (minus the stat boosts, etc).

The one thing we don't need is more blue Sonic costumes. In fact one of the first custom outfits I downloaded for Brawl was one that just recoloured Sonic in red, green, yellow and black to match his shoes and armbands..

True, that thing is so situational it might as well be useless. It's decent for edgeguarding, but the required charge up time should give it some extra utility, like non-flinch damage.

I remember someone wanting Matthew from Golden Sun in Smash 4 so that I'll stop using Marth because somehow my name being Matthew would make me want to use him.

True, though I think for me it's more that I don't feel like Mario Sunshine was a piece of Mario's history people have much fondness for.
The whole fludd thing kinda felt like a weird quirky gimmick that they crowbarred into a mario game back when I was playing it... I often feel like it would've been better suited to a new IP or something :3

They're wrong quite often when it concerns Smash. Sometimes I can barely make it through their video due to how off their Smash predictions can be.

Ike is not a clone like Lucas, though
I'd prefer if Ness got a moveset that better reflected his actual moves in Earthbound while Lucas was replaced with Kumatora. Ideally, Lucas would be in as well as Poo as a Kumatora clone.

They analysis videos and discussions videos are two very different things; their analysis are usually pretty spot-on, their discussions is where they let loose with more wild ideas and I don't think they ever present anything as "fact"

Boney would actually be a really cool choice for Mother 3 they were adding characters specifically to diversify the roster.
Though at that point I'd choose Flint because cowboys attacking with big wooden sticks gets an A+ in my book.
