Two QLs tomorrow, it seems. Crimsonland and Spintires.

Btw has Patrick said anything about GB Chicago stuff on Bombin'? Feel like they've been letting things slide a bit after the Spelunky streams (and two Friday shows).

I believe it was a podcast, but I can't recall which one. They were talking about how it was just this quick idea they had, and they shot it, but didn't decide until the last minute to actually post it. They thought they were going to get into real trouble for posting it or something, but then the audience loved it, so they veered more into the "stupid" stuff and really went to town.

Something like that.

Now I'm imagining what alternate universe Giantbomb could be like. Obviously they would never have the staff to be Gamespot 2 or IGN 2 or Polygon 2, or anything else really? GB continues to be quite the singular case. I guess that's why we're all still here.

The weird thing is that Giant Bomb is still probably going to outlast at least one of those major "real" sites.

While I'm here, has everyone seen that Mikey Neumann (everyone's favorite E3 panelist this year) is giving the PAX Prime keynote this year? As if PAX could get worse. I really wish Giant Bomb would do their panels elsewhere...

I was just thinking that there hasn't been a Jar Time in a while. I wonder just how much Jeff is going to be hinting about next week.

Damn they're doing a QL on Crimsonland? I picked it up on the steam sale because I had so many memories of playing it during my comp sci class in 2004. We'd always play survival and huddle around people who we're doing really well. Still plays the same but the added controller support isn't great. Especially compared to how far twin-stick shooters have come.

To me, "Video Thing" was at least a recorded video of them in front of a camera doing something - rapping about 2 Human, eating Surstromming, or advertising and iPhone App. It was always an off-the-cuff type video. Patrick's "Video Thing" will be (likely) a piece of scripted content of him talking over preshot video.

However, "Video Thing" has been gone so long, it means nothing anymore. There is nothing wrong with it been used in a new fashion.

Seeing as he is using the name. I wonder would Patrick the opening bumper voiced by Ryan?

Using the opening bumper voiced by Ryan? I don't see how that would be tactless (if that's what you were referring to). It has always been the standard bumper for those videos, don't see how what happened would make still using that bumper "tactless".

I guess we've got different opinion on this one, then. I just always associated that video with "stuff that isn't a feature video", random or otherwise. So if he plans to use that bumper it would be fitting. Anyways, this is a dumb discussion.

That UFC Jeff face isn't bad, really.

Just put him on a proper body, they've got Roy Nelson in that game, right? So it should be doable.
