You know what I don't get? "he's a good person".
We are football fans and see him on the football pitch, my neighbour Thomas doesn't give 2 shits what his PR team tweets about ronaldo's off field amazingness.
Instead, he sees him whine, dive and complain to his teammates on TV and says "yep, that guy's a douchebag".
Pls guys. Suarez has a family and donates a lot to charity. I know he bites people and is a dirty cheat on the field, but you shouldn't hate because he is a family man off the pitch.

Out of everyone watching the world cup, how many will see what any of these players do off the pitch, realistically? It would be such a tiny fraction.
Obviously Suarez is an extreme example, but my point is we judge footballers on the football field.
Portugal needs to make up a 5 goal deficit to overtake the US.

Horrible news for Ghana, but it's the picture we've been seeing too often from african teams. Lacking discipline.
I was hopeful before the tournament considering Africa's chances, but as always TIA. Ivory Coast's loss still hurts. Not having lots of hope for Nigeria's chances. Still not going to root for Algeria.
