It doesn't make sense though. I mean, wouldn't a single box with selectable custom Miis be more elegant in selection? What's the point of separating them into three boxes when they're all customized to begin with?
I don't think it'll be that way on the actual character select screen. I'm pretty sure it was confirmed that they only take up one slot.

So after a long day at the World Hobby Fair, I went home and opened the Smash flyer I recieved. Take a look at the question mark next to the Miis. Doe this mean a fighter will be revealed soon? Tomorrow is the last day of the event.

I would love to see that, also as Heath pointed out, Mii will probably take up 3 slots

The Mii Fighters take up one box on the select screen, but they're technically still three separate characters (like the Pokémon Trainer). Mii Brawler has its own moveset, Mii Swordfighter has its own moveset, and Mii Gunner has its own moveset. Sakurai will probably count them individually when referring to the game's roster size (he considers Brawl to have 39 characters).

You kinda missed the point since it's more of moveset logic. Sakurai considered them as three characters due to three different move sets, and there are some people that kept denying that they count as three characters.

Mii Brawler
Mii Sword Fighter
Mii Gunner

Sakurai already did. Basically we have 35 characters at the moment.

Edited: Sorry about double posts.....

Basically he's just saying that with 48 characters, the roster would actually be 50.

Did we ever get confirmation of that Random slot = Miis with customization on?

Does anyone know when the latest mod of Project M will be released? I don't want to download it if the update is coming soon.

Oh I get that there are three archetypes, I was more on looking for the character select screen :P

Yet it's interesting that the question mark box is in the same line that all new characters are (except Sonic)... Or maybe I'm just trying too hard.

Yeah. Probably an assumption based on that ?????? box on the bottom right. And the flyer is from GAF.

That's my points. IF he took a picture of the flyer then he would have let us know that we are expecting reveal soon, but he didn't.

People want to jump into conclusions and getting hyped over nothing.

The question mark box could mean "we will reveal someone", or it could mean "and more unannounced characters!"

Yeah I think it's the latter, since the text below the ?box is basically just saying that there are even more characters coming.
But I have a very low level knowledge of japanese, so it could be either way.

No swords for Ganondorf pls. Give him a powerful set of projectiles/spells and play up the warlock aspect of the character for once. Also, I need sword people to still represent a tiny fraction of playable character in these games so I can laugh at "no more swordsmen/swordswomen, we have too many" people still. :P

I would rather they give Ganondorf the Trident of Power.

I didn't mean to cause so much hype by posting that flyer! Sorry guys. Here are two better pictures, just because.

Edit: I read some comments on news sites (is this flyer really news-worthy?) that there's a silhouette. That's not the case. It's just a black image with a question mark.

Yeah, there won't be any character revealed tomorrow... why would they even reveal it at the WHF? It's a purely Japanese-centric event, that's not covered by any international website or anything. And I don't remember being any game-related announcement there in the past either.

I'd love to eat crow, but nah, not getting hyped on this one. Sakurai would at least have teased it on Miiverse or something.
