C'mon Chile!
Who is this

WHO IS THIS

I'm not talking about any of those things. It's up to the ref if he wants video or not anyway, so it's not like the game will be stopped for every decision. Just ones he couldn't see (like this handball). Surely, wrong decisions are less likely to happen with video refs? Why would a free throw be given to the wrong side with a video ref and not a regular ref? This is just nonsense.

You are saying it's up to the ref to use video?
The problem is solved then, they all decided to never use video ref to keep the flow of the games and spirit of football intact.

If we use video ref like you said we will never have to use it because referees are trained to see everything and interpret the actions. They are not judge, they are not here to bring justice and tell what is right or wrong, they are here to see everything and interpret the actions. With five men around the pitch, they are seeing everything. Only the goal line technology is cool because the ball is either in or out and it isn't subject to interpretation. It doesn't break the flow of the game because the ref knows immediately if it's in or not.

Video ref can't help for other things because it would only gain the ref more time to interpret the actions. A good ref who have self confidence doesn't need more time to interpret so he would never use video ref. He would trust his guts and let the game be played. A ref who begins to doubt himself and need a tool to interpret things is a ref who should never be put on a pitch.
