Penalty was deserved.

First half Mexico was dominating the game, and Netherlands was playing poorly.
Start of second half same story, but the moment Memphis came on the sides switched and the Netherlands was the better team.

Isn't it curious how the Netherlands has been behind every game with the exception of Chile, and only after the first goal against them do they really start dominating the game and making goals?

As unfair and stupid as it is to lose the game on a dive. We took our foot off the gas the last 30 min or so. We stopped playing positive and we stopped looking for goals and it cost us. You can't slow down against a team of Netherlands quality you simply can not. I was screaming at the screen long before they equalized. Once they did I knew it was over. I'd like to think we will learn from this but no team ever does really it's usually the same story, can't play not to lose you have to play to win. Congrats to Netherlands diving aside you guys would have gotten it in extra time either way. We lost that game the minute you equalized. Good luck the rest of the way.
