Spain and Portugal too.

USA fans should be ecstatic with how well they have played so far.

I am, not a super talented group of starters right now, but they're playing really well as a team. They're punching above their weight, so to speak. I think our most promising players are riding the bench right now because they're just not ready.

Last games Belgium - USA, four wins in a row

- USA - Belgium (2 - 4) - 2013
- Belgium - USA (1 - 0) - 2011
- Belgium - USA (2 - 0) - 1998
- Belgium - USA (1 - 0) - 1995

History will repeat itself!!

All the hate for Argentina will make this even sweeter when we bring the WC home.

This means the chance USA wins is only getting bigger and bigger

It's true that Belgium has won the past 4 games, but I think it's pretty obvious that the US team has been improving in play since Klinsmann has been there. The scheme is there, but the talent is young
and old
and mostly riding the bench.

I'm hoping that they put Wondo up there with Dempsey today, and then bring in Altidore as our 3rd sub if we need him. Yedlin will probably be our first sub after the half, as usual.

Last game was also with Klinsmann in charge and USA didn't stood a chance :) And it's not that Belgium isn't improving :)

It is true. It's going to be a great game and I'm nervous as hell about it. Belgium is a great team and I consider the US the underdogs in the game.

Don't mean to rain on your parade, but this Belgian team might be the best team they ever had. You're not the only ones that have improved.

Don't understand what you are referring to, I'm too busy being all modest and polite!

It's probably going to be a turd of game btw. Judging from our previous performances, it'll be lockdown/control versus granite block...

So what you're saying is that it's going to be like pretty much all Round of 16 games so far?

Not expecting great games today tbh.

Argentina will wait for Messi to save their asses again with an individual run or a bright idea. Switzerland is content to wait it out as well and will probably play fairly defensively, Argentina has had troubles with teams like that before.

Belgium vs USA... it's hard to care for a game of which you know that the winner will get knocked out in the next round anyway, so it doesn't really matter. On paper, I'd say Belgium has the advantage, with USA having the better form at this tournament.
