Well, that wasn't promising. At the very least Bradley has been mediocre to sub-mediocre rather than dogshit awful, so that is an improvement from previous games. It doesn't look as though our midfield will turn up today, so we've got to hope for a lucky break.

Oh, I like this Yedlin kid quite a bit.

This will come down to a Michael Bradley PK. I can feel it.

Owen Hargreaves didn't just win United the league, he won them the CL in 2008. don't be fooled by his injury woes, his absence crippled United in the CL final in 09 and their midfield has been moribund since then.

It's okay. Herrera get will fix everything. Yup.

You can quickly become one of the best attacking player in England if you play for Chelsea, park the bus and counter each time. He is a lazy mofo if you put him in a team that has an open 4-3-3 system.

Is that why Oscar sucked ass for most of the season?
Or how about De Bruyne?
Or Mata failing?

Playing against the buses chelsea see almost every week are the biggest challenge in football.

Belgium should have scored at least scored two times already, hoping they aren't going to regret that

Yeah that seems to be a plausible scenario. if Belgium doesn't score fast in the second half, chances are USA will do it and then it's over for Belgium.

I just don't get this talk of "This game should be x-x right now". If they didn't score then they didn't score, for whatever reason.

It doesn't bode well for us when Beasley has had some of the best touches on the ball. What the hell is the rest of the back line, and most of the midfield doing? We're just giving them the ball each time. PEACE.

Bradley had a few shots he didn't take. I don't think he's confident its like he's playing not to screw up rather than to win

Kompany on a yellow bodes well for the US. The dude is raw, another bad challenge and Belgium could lose their best defender.

Raw?

He is as refined as they come. Easily the best centreback in England last year.

If you are betting on Kompany fucking up, then prepare to be really upset.

I think Bradley had one touch in the first half where it wasn't a bad pass or giveaway.

Zusi had a few nice runs but also a key giveaway right at midfield that almost resulted in a Belgian goal.

Do we really have nobody better to play in our midfield? I could almost hear Beasley and Dempsey screaming in frustration from here. So many good possessions wasted, and we won't be able to defend forever against them. We need shots on goal, period.

Belgium should have easily scored at least 2 goals by now. Idiots don't know how to finish the play. A better team team would have destroyed this US defense.

Pay attention FIFA, you corrupt fucks. Let the US host another WC and this kind of money/attraction will be a normal occurrence all throughout the country. The thirst is there. Satiate it.

Waaaaaat no we need to burn FIFA not encourage it to exploit us too.

Beasley has been probably our most reliable and consistent player this tournament (outside of Howard). So was Jones although he hasn't done that well this game.

Belgium plays great. They put a lot of pressure on the US build up which means they are left with little options and lose the ball.

But again their finishing is playing them parts. Hazard simply has a terrible tournament, hes too lazy in defense and probably tries too hard to excel. I would sub him, or perhaps wait for his moment. Its difficult.

This is much better than the Germany game.

That game, it just looked like America was holding on to dear life, holding on to the legs of Muller, praying to baby Jesus that Ghana fucks up.

Do different color shoes mean anything? Or is it just random?

It's guerilla marketing. Adidas are the official sponsor so everyone else does crazy shit to get noticed. Nike usually go with luminous colours (they did the same thing during the Olympics). Puma are going with pink and blue (goalie gloves made by Puma are the same colour)
