Dixie was seemingly going to be in Smash Brawl at one point it seems, as well as Sakurai entertaining the possibility of Toon Zelda/Sheik, Toon Ganondorf doesn't seem too far of a stretch either.

I actually think Hawlucha out of all of them seems reasonable too, it seems like a Pokemon TPC would want to promote like they did with Greninja, it's going to be a main character in the show soon too.

EDIT: Incidentally Greninja and Hawlucha were both leaked at the same time for XY...

I'll give you the data in Brawl for Dixie, but Toon Ganondorf is a bit farfetched still.

You could use the reason you gave for Hawlucha for any of Ash's Pokémon, like Fletchinder, Aipom or even Tauros.

Ooh! Well noted. I'd expected Dunban's japanese voice to be more like 'Joji Nakata's style (or as I always remember him: The count of Monte Cristo in Gankutsuou :3 ) That man's voice is so smooth and deep it's almost hypnotic XD
 
So, if you were to choose another company to create a Smash Bros. style crossover fighting game, who would you choose? Capcom is a really tempting choice for me, but after thinking about it I actually think Square Enix would be my first pick. I know they made Dissidia, but I'd love a game that brings in other franchises like Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quest, and Kingdom Hearts.

And, you know...maybe sneak in Geno while you're at it.

The first DLC characters by all rights should be cut characters from the previous games. If they're not there'll be rioting in the streets. One guy can be a riot yeah?

Found this while perusing reddit. Anyone else read it? He makes a strong argument for Ridley's inclusion, or as strong an argument one can make when one's premises hinge on observed patterns.

I'm of the opinion that Sakurai teased Ridley the way he did expecting for fans to commit to an uncertain hope,
only to later dash them. In which case I am gladly trolling in the name of Lord Sakurai's work by spreading false hopes. Or am I? Such is the majesty of Sakurai.

Villager and Wii Fit Trainer are not comparable to Pac-Man. Neither Villager, nor Wii Fit Trainer are actual characters. Villager is an avatar and the male and female versions are just as important as each other. Wii Fit Trainer is essentially a mannequin and again, both genders are just as important to each other. The male and female versions of those characters are interchangeable.

Pac-Man on the other hand is his own character with his own name. He's not an avatar, he's not nameless. Having Ms. Pac-Man as an alt would be a first in the Smash Bros. series. The first character to have an alternate costume of a different character. What would happen when he (she?) wins? Does the announcer still call him/her Pac-Man? That would mean that it's just Pac-Man in drag. If you call him/her Ms. Pac-Man then you're essentially undermining Pac-Man.

Yeah that argument about sums up my feelings on the matter. If Ridley wasn't playable, he would have been shown by now - there's no reason not to unless Sakurai actually thinks that having him be a boss character would be a Big Crazy reveal - after he was a boss twice in Brawl. So...

It's also a big reason that I'm not taking the Gematsu leak as Word of God quite yet. It has no Ridley, and it had no Rosalina. I think people are jumping to conclusions about its validity - especially in the context of it having all the characters.
