App seems to already contain all quests translated to english, german, french etc., haha. So maybe they really plan on releasing it here.

Also, a folder called "localize" that contains translated UI:

Rendered cutscenes are 480x272 or even 480x362 (4:3) tho, so probably not redone for the iOS version.

I'm surprised they didn't have it ready to go day one judging by that. Perhaps it's sitting in certification or something?

Why does android get the short end of the stick for all games? Hasn't the android OS surpassed iOS in number of users already?

Might make this my first Monster Hunter...

EDIT: Does it have controller support (ie: Steelseries Stratus), and does it have cross-play/cloud saves for iPhone/iPad?

Need to do some research...

Yes it does!

It even changes the UI to unclutter the screen for a more traditional style of play

Its damn good

I hope this sets a precedent for how MH games will be handled on Mobile in the future

This is Mobile gaming done right for a change

Deserving of support!

Wow, I'm surprised, Capcom.

Thanks for letting me know! I suppose I can support this. Might get me to finally splurge on that damn controller.

Thanks!

Insta buy. Very excited to play it tonight. So tempted to sit here at my desk and play all day. haha

First game I will have no problem paying the premium price on iOS. Now I just need to figure out how to free up the space to fit the game.

I'm getting this now. Now I just gotta get a my PS3 controller working on my iPad and I'll be perfect.

So far so good on iPhone 5, solid 30fps but I have only done some training and talking to npc's, first time playing and all.

Controls feel solid for touchscreen limits.

Soooo how well does this play? I already have it on my vita with a save file of 300h, not sure if the added online is worth it to double dip if it plays like shit.

Use a controller

Boom now its just like the Vita version except online play is built in and the resolution is higher

Had my first completed quest online (and first quest overall) and it was some experience, my sword became blunt, I drank all my free potions and ate herbs and only barely scraped through it, didn't realize you could attack your other teammates until about half way into the quest, oops.

Great fun and a lot to learn, I like how this game all comes down to gear and play style more then level grinding.

Gear is the grinding in this series.

Just bought it. The Touchscreen controls are surprisingly good. Not perfect, but certainly the type that you can adapt to with little effort. Only problem is that I wouldn't bet on them being that good against the faster beasts such as Nargacuga and Rajang. But that's later game territory, and I'll have plenty of time to practice until then~

EDIT: Bring on an Android version!

When playing a quest for the first time what's the best way to know which direction you need to go? once you find a boss monster you can follow where it runs off towards but before that is there a way?

Hopeful for an Android release (pleeeeeease).

Have an iPad 2 so can't run this.

it's due to the game needing an auto focus camera which the ipad 2 lacks, while the ipad mini 1 (same specs internally) works with the game, hopefully capcom fix it for ipad 2 uses soon)

Can I transfer save from PSP to iOS somehow?

Doubt it but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Actually it technically IS possible

Dont ask me why but it appears the base game IS exaclty identical to the PSP version somehow in structure

There was a topic earlier where a Savvy IOS user/modder was digging through the files and testing various things. Apparently he was able to get PSP save files to work as well as apply an english patch to the Japanese version

He was also quick to find the English Logo and localization files included in the Japanese version

I think TC might be that guy lol

You can drink Psychoserum that puts the monster on the map for a little bit, and you can also get armor abilities that will periodically or permanently do it.

HDMI out on an iPhone 5 is rather good, keeps it's framerate up and looks rather nice on my 24" tv, I just need a controller.
