Monster Hunter Wilds Benchmark released on Steam

This game just doesn't look good, being forced to always run DLSS to get an adequate frame rate doesn't help it but it just looks really rough and the image quality is never anything resembling clean

If you don't have or refuse to use FG, expect this to be a game you lock at 30 fps for frame time consistency or let it float around between 30-60 fps and rely on VRR to keep it looking consistent even as the frame rate bounces all over the place

Good.

With some tweaking, I can get it to say Excellent. instead so I guess it's OK. The benchmark always defaults to DLSS Quality and if you change the DLSS resolution it switches to Custom so I left everything at default even though using DLSS Balanced or Performance helps a lot. The beta actually ran alright for me on the 3090, I was definitely seeing dips into the 40's in framerate but I'm pretty sure this game gets really CPU bound. The benchmark seems to do a better job of holding 50's in busy scenes like the village so I'm hoping I'll have a good experience at launch

The RT looks kinda shit so I'll probably leave it off for this game. In general the RT doesn't look good in RE Engine games from what I've seen

Yikes at the performance/graphics. Capcom should have used a different engine probably, huge risk by taking one of their most important IPs and making it look poor. I still haven't finished world lol and these follow up MH games just look like more of the same, no big loss for me I suppose but sucks for people who were really looking forward to it.
