Less than a minute into the Ryan Retrospective and I'm already crying with laughter

goddamn you ryan davis, you funny, funny man. we miss you

Shipping is $20 for it, but the current amount in my paypal is $493, so I think we can cover it.

Ah that's cool. Thought it would be much more (e: the shipping). Usually is extortionate costs from merchants shipping to ireland from amazon uk at least.

The logistics would be a nightmare, but it would be hilarious to send Dan a signed copy of Air Force Gator as a welcome gift.

Just now watching the freedom stream. I've been a fan of Dan for a long while, and he definitely fits right in on GB. His amusement with the Brad gif is so great.

That was a really endearingly hilarious reaction to basic tricaster functionality. I was half expecting Jeff to pull out the GoPro and fucking blow his mind.

The archive breaks for me around the 3hr mark. A little after Alexis asks if they've been to the hello kitty store in japan. Anyone else have this issue? Going to try and download it to see if that fixes it.

And it still breaks my goddamn heart into fucking thousand million peices when I think of Jeff doing this - http://www.giantbomb.com/wiki/moderation/41782/

Ah, shit. That's a fucking terrible thing to imagine, poor guy. :/

No. It was something like $60. V_Ben thought a $100 cost too much. :)

yeah this thing escalated quickly huh

How it all began...
The saddest part about all this? Rorie can't get a cold soda to help him cool off after dealing with all the comments.
We should probably send him one of those USB soda can coolers.
was about to say, hey sweet USB cooler.

Then I see where it only cools down to 46 degrees.

So, basically, the dreaded CBS vending machine is a USB Cooler.
I say that we all band together and chip in a bit each to buy Rorie a little mini beer/soda fridge for his desk as a thank you for all the work he had to put in these past few days.
...And the rest was history in the making.

The moment I knew Mr. Dan Ryckert was a man after my own heart was when he was telling the OCD story about how he had a VMU that was tracking game play time that died after 400+ hours, so he got a new one and let it run idle for over 400 hours so that the played time clock matched the old one. That is OCD dumbness on a level that I could only hope to achieve.
is this vmu for Dreamcast?

Practicality isn't high up on the list when it comes to sending GB shit.

I agree with him tho... Most big companies have energy usage restriction that would prevent him from plugging that under his desk. We're talking about a company who raise the temperature in a coke machine to save a couple of bucks...

This has all been mentioned. I believe the general consensus was that it'd be even funnier/he could just take it home/the world won't end if he trashes it or gives it away.

Really? I think it's great. Shows GB has the best fans out there. They would go to such lengths to make someone happy. What's wrong with that?

Buying someone a fridge who did not ask for a fridge is weird. It is like buying someone a burden, especially if he can't keep it by his desk.

He is the community manager after all. The GB fanbase is not just limited to the GB forums so there's a high chance he visits this thread regularly.

I wouldn't be surprised if he barely ever visited this thread. I wouldn't fault him either. GB.com first and foremost. There is enough to do there with the true blue fanbase, not to split time elsewhere.

Adults don't ask for specific gifts, you just get them something you think will be useful. If he can't put it to use at work, he can take it home and still have an awesome mini-fridge, what's the problem? It's a gift.

He bikes to work though.

Then again, he also sleeps and showers at work, so who knows. lol

I wonder if they come out with a new F1 game who will do the quick look: Drew & Danny or Drew and Jeff. So much of F1 has game elements: electronic boost, increasing top speed by pressing a button when close to another car.

I want Jason vs Jeff across all fighters like an encyclopedia bombastica but with more salt.

For anyone who runs into the same video issue as me downloading it did work. Great livestream. Feel bad for Brad running into a hardware issue at the end of his match. The Retron seems pretty finicky.
