Dan being mad when he loses? That Mario Party 2 one... was it a Replay, or super replay showdown? One or the other. He got pretty mad at the rest of them... though they were constantly messing with him. Tim Turi sabotaging multiple 2v2 team minigames by refusing to do anything while teamed with Dan was pretty mean... but of course one of the things with the Game Informer videos was 'the others find Dan annoying', Dan has that evil laugh, etc, so you can kind of understand it. Still kind of cruel though.
That was Joe Juba. Tim would never do such a thing :P

I played so much Twisted Metal 2 with my friends back in the day. Wouldn't be surprised if we clocked over 100 hours playing that. Good times!

I know it's been less than a week & only a few videos but I think it's pretty clear already that Dan is a great fit for the site. Kind of expected him to be but happy to see it proven.

Looking forward to seeing what new stuff they come up with now they've got Dan & Jason on board. Also the lo-fi streams from GB East are great, Alex & Vinny are a surprisingly great combo. I think they'll do alright once they get things up & running properly.

Love Dan's passion for Twisted Metal (and Jeff's complete indifference). He's definitely filling an interesting niche at Giant Bomb.

I love how Matt found his way back at GB after that initial departure. I remember negativity around him when he was doing the movie site (don't know what that was, never listened to their cast), but he's really been great as CM and occasional guest on the live shows. Just hope he can actually use that fridge.

Screened.

Screened was great.

Podcast was fun.

After Alex left, Rorie did a few one man podcasts

They were things of wonder.

Sums up how I feel about the new direction GB is going in. Dan is a natural fit, love his contribution so far, he's really laid back and has a great rapport with the other guys. Hopefully Jason will get some camera time when possible. Also looking forward to what further shenanigans GB East get up to as well :-)

Now that both Drew and Jason can work on videos then I'm sure it will allow the others to produce more content than ever!

Every time something happens that "will allow them to produce more content then ever" they end up producing less content then ever for a few months.

Let's see what happens. Hopefully Dan brings some new ideas and they hit the ground running.

Dan needs to teach Giant Bomb about the wonders of holding World Records

Guinness World Ryckert should be the name of the feature

Jeff can beat this...

Longest video games marathon playing a Racing game

The longest marathon playing a racing game lasted 30 hours, achieved by Sebastian Giessler and Marcus Wiessala (both Germany), who played Need for Speed Shift (EA, 2009) at 'Dez Kassel' shopping centre, Kassel, Germany from 19-20 February 2010.

The two men started on 19th February at 10.10am and broke the record on the 20th February at 12.42. They continued until 18.03, which made the record 30 hours (with 11 10 minute breaks).

Burnout Paradise. Do It!

I watched like 3 minutes of the Twisted Metal 2 video before closing it. Some games are just too damn ugly.

You're.

Seeing (well, hearing) Dan be so enthusiastic about such a stupid game was a lot of fun. I also liked how he was smiling through the entire Freedom stream. Or it could be that's just his normal expression.

He's no Brad Muir, but Dan is enthusiastic about games and smiles a lot.

That's nice, I just think it's kind of annoying. Like how my kid always brings every discussion back around to Pokemon somehow

tbf most of the discussions they did had things related to MK but yea its funny to see it happen so consistently so far.

Plus its happening while talking to another fan of the series so i don't think Jeff minds it too much.

You know when I first saw twisted metal bombastica, I immediately imagined Dan sitting in Jeff's bedroom. That's not what it is is it...

I've watched about half of the freedom stream and I have to say I've quickly become a fan of Mr. Ryckert. We seem to be kindred spirits in many respects, and he definitely seems to know his shit. Doesn't hurt that he's a massive wrestling nerd. The loss of Vinny stings a little less now.

Decided to stay home tonight to nurse a pretty massive hangover, and I'm watching old GB content. The Fortune Street TNT is still some of the best shit GB has ever done, I had forgotten how amazing it was.

Think I need to watch the Blue Stinger Super Replay after this, heard some good things!

Huh. I should rewatch this myself soon. PLATYPUNK

If folks are just discovering Dan they should check out the super replay of games like trail of the sun, blue stinger, illbleed, and overblood.
