Official Destiny Alpha Withdrawal Thread

on an italian videogame store site there is a "Vanguard Dayone edition" with a bonus code to have early access to some gear of the Vanguard

My Bungie Day Destiny wish list:

A kick ass collectors edition: Steelbook with a huge warlock/hunter/titan statue.
BETA details: official length (snigger), location and game modes available.
Crucible game modes revealed: So far we only know 2 of 6; Control and skirmish.
Level cap reveal: They finally tell us the final level cap and give us some sweet details
Wizard T-Shirt: I get home and my alpha 2014 t-shirt is waiting for me as a nice Bungie day surprise.

Hm. Guess this means I'll put up the Bungie Day thread when IGN's stuff goes live?

Edit: Yeah I'll do that.

But this is Bungie day, not IGN day. Ergh they ruin everything!

Really looking forward to the news though, praying it's on Bungie.net though!

15 mins guys!

I think that'll be the unofficial start of it all yes.

Sadly I'll be travelling home so will miss the reveal but will 100% check out the thread when I get home Dax.

It's pretty insane the difference in anticipation and reception when comparing before and after the Alpha. Imagine Bungie before the Alpha, knowing they have this amazing game and it was being misinterpreted so much by pretty much everyone, bet they loved the Alpha coming out more than us.

Yup, the general consensus was 'oh hey this is their Borderlands' when in reality it is something entirely else. Sure you can finde elements in it that can be found in the other game as well, but Destiny tries something else.

I would also blame either Bungie or Activision for promoting the game the way they did since it didn't really help. Giving the community a early alpha with all important features in it was a stroke of genius though and I'm glad they were brave and confident enough to do so.

If the withdrawal from alpha is this bad, I shudder to think of what's awaiting after beta ends.

Guess a medically induced coma could be a viable cure to the inevitable psychosis.

Found a cool app called TurnMe Panorama (Play Store). You can import Panoramas and get a 3D view out of them. Pretty much turned this:

Into this:

Some resolution lost but you get a better layout of each of those panoramas.

Cool, will be checking this out. So is this only for a specific phone OS?

Just wanted to say my last peace in this thread ..its been real..but its time to move on to the 200 other Bungie Day Beta Expansion Pack threads ..
Later Guardians
See y'all in the Beta

Really hoping this could get answered, since it's by far the most important aspect for me:
If I play with my 4 or 5 buddies from the States, with myself being European, will I be at a disadvantage like at CoD or will I barely be affected?

You'll have to wait for some of our EU Alpha players to know how it affected them but it's worth noting that for the Beta it appears they're seperating people by Region. For the Beta specifically, people can choose their Region but it's unknown how that's going to work come Launch.
