EB Games are selling them in Australia, my local store told me they have a list of eligible customers for them. Guessing they could be for level 4 VIP's. Pre-ordered the Ghost edition today
 
So the limited edition comes with vouchers for the expansions right? Lame there's no beta preload. Guess I'll have to head down to EB games tomorrow to update my preorder.

Why do they implement caps at all? Is it just to limit the processes involved with viewing/searching larger groups?
 
I hadn't heard of GuardianRadio until now, and I am glad I have GAF to give me these things I can watch and listen to for more information. This is actually pretty good overall.

Yep, went in just now to ask if i could pre-order it and they said nope only for level 4's (only just made it to level 3 a few weeks ago) and that they only had 2 of them for each platform anyway. Sounds insane as that store gets quite a lot of business - i could see some stores only getting 1.

Oh well, preordered the limited edition but still gutted that it was not first in like everywhere else in the world...

I was told something different that had nothing to do with member levels:

So after listening to the Guardian Radio stuff we need to get all Gaffers into the DestinyGAF alliance and then branch Clans out from there.

Alliances can have an infinite amount of people and clans will be capped.

The twitter for EB games seems to be saying that people who are Level 4, have already pre-ordered and have a $50 deposit got first dibs and then if Level 4's pass up it went down to that system you described. Possibly there are no Level 4's that have your store as the main base so that is why it automatically went to that system so fast.

Still... I blame the absolute lack of stock that Activsion has given EB. It is still hilarious to me that NZ STILL has stock online for it.

I mentioned in the bungie.net group that we should decide on a theme for the sub divisions. DestinyGAF1, DestinyGAF2, ect would be pretty boring.

DestinyGAF (greek gods) - DestinyGAF Zeus
DestinyGAF (spacecraft) - DestinyGAF Challenger
DestinyGAF (authors) - DestinyGAF Martin

I don't have a great imagination with these things, but hopefully someone else can think of something.
 
You could name the Gaf Clans after planets/moons in our solar system, and expand to popular Stars/ other planets in the universe if you run out. Or constellations .

I've ignored the bungie.net site for a while but it always seemed like somebody was there accepting people, so I didn't find a need to. Didn't even realize that all these decisions had been made on the 5th. Looking forward to beta.

I am sure that guardians are able to develop residences on the sun due to excessive amounts of warlock space magic and all the aussie guardians will be able to bring the most environmentally resistant creatures (dropbears) to the sun to basically create a mini-Australia on the sun (with some Kiwi's on the more picturesque side of the sun).

The darkness can never reach us there... Calling that this is the only way the game will end. Everyone moves to the sun to join space Australia.

Watch the E3 trailer. Sure looks like the darkness covered the Sun.
 
I'm really interested to see how the canon of this series grows. Bungie will be dealing directly with this IP for the next ten years - I can only imagine all the love and attention they'll pour into the world.
