He can pinpoint Chorus men and not Greninja because Chorus men had a name, and Greninja didn't. The information is from early in development, when characters weren't completely decided (Lucas), reveals weren't set in stone (original E3 reveals), and Greninja didn't have a name. Rosalina wasn't listed because the original list was just (originally planned) E3 reveals. The second list, which contained all the remaining characters, came after Rosalina's reveal.

Actually, there are plenty of chances for him to be wrong. Aside from the fact these are three different leaks, if it's from early enough in development that Animal Crossing guy (Villager) and Pokémon from X/Y (Greninja) did not have names, then he could easily be wrong. A slot was reserved for an X/Y Pokémon, and Greninja was chosen from his early artwork. That early in development the newcomers up for consideration was probably double what actually made it into the game. So either we accept that the last leak is based on more recent information, or that all the leaks are from super early in development and he's just picking the characters he thinks are most likely from the internal list of potential newcomers, any of whom could have been cut before the final game for time constraints, or some he didn't think were likely made it in because they were easier to program for than expected or are just made into clones to pad the roster.

So yeah, while highly likely, no way is that last rumor 100%. I mean he wasn't even sure if Lucas was cut or not, something that has definitely been decided as late as this year's E3.

Maybe it was the wrong time? It seems like it wasn't exclusive to a single Pokemon Center, because they had it at Pokemon Center Tokyo and the photo is from Pokemon Center Yokohama. Apparently it was a 2012 promotion, which sounds about right because I visited right around the launch of B/W2.

Well, I want to add that leaker was being specific with the name, Mii Fighter before Digital Event happened.

Tripping – Alright so to make your character trip and/or cancel out the trip you… well… to be honest we have no idea! We experimented and we couldn't really find a way to reliably make this happen. After day one we were sure that you could dash pivot by canceling the tripping animation, but we don't know for sure. This one eluded us for now, oh well. It'll probably be in the instruction manual or something.

Once you realise it is more beneficial to be surprised as a result from your lack of hype than being disappointed because you were too hyped you approach things with a clearer mindset.

I have hype because it's EVO, but I'm not too sure if I think there'll be anything hype-worthy announced there.
 
So is Sakurai still having an iron fist in terms of making this game for casuals? Like I know he eliminated tripping but haven't heard anything about him making the game closer to SSBM in terms of technique instead of SSBB.
